View Full Version : Cavs Management is Dogshit

They let the Wolves get away with a goldmine. Replaced an empty stat, no defense prima donna player in Love with a bright future in Wiggins. Way to go Cavs. And you still cant get a ring despite multiple 1st picks, LeBron coming back etc.
Trash organization that isnt getting enough flak simply because LBJ is making them look halfway decent. Yet at the same time, LBJ is hugely at fault for wanting Wiggins out and demanding TT get that contract and other BS like that.

Probably more accurate to state that both James and Gilbert are way too impatient to build a smart, sturdy team that will improve along the way.
...this is why I'll give Melo props for hanging in and playing better all-around ball.

Cavs management has never been any good. That's why Lebron left the first time.

isnt lebron the cavs management?
isnt he basically 100% responsible for the acquisitions of
- Love
- Mozgof
- JR Smith
- Shumpert
- mo williams
- jefferson
- jones
and thompson re-signing

you do realize that lebron was solely responsible for that trade right?
he admittedly called love before even going to cleveland and asked if he would join him there
which is why he left wiggins out of his letter
All those people saying Lebron was GM of the year should recognize that he's actually a terrible GM. He doesn't have anyone else to blame.

I think they had more than enough time to build around Lebron after they drafted him. But they just didn't have the vision.
They had the vision, just no quality FA's want to come play in Cleveland. That's been the problem for the Cavs franchise since the inception of free agency.
Can't hold a gun to players heads and make them sign.

False
"When LeBron James agreed to a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the announcement sent the organization into a state of euphoria.
Then James picked up his phone hours later and made a call to Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Kevin Love, who had just finished a career year in which he averaged 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds.
James was gauging Love's interest in joining him in Cleveland.
"I'm in," Love told James, who has become part-time recruiter during this franchise-altering summer.
"That had a lot to do with my decision. I knew the Cavaliers had a lot of young pieces in place and a lot of great talent here as well. I knew the city relatively well, but (James' call) had a lot to do with it."

LeCollussion playing GM destroyed the future of Cleveland XD
Wiggins would have been way better next to Lebron than Love is.
It's almost like Lebron wants Cleveland to suffer:lol

It does matter. That was the whole premise of your post that Love was all in before James said he was signing back in Cleveland
Not that embarrassing that you were wrong......compared to most of the other times you were.

Wrong.
They actually did the right moves and rightfully went all in.
Time will tell, making judgements halfway through the season is pretty silly.
They will be a lot better by the end of the year.

even though I think the Love trade wasn't a great decision, the Cavs management has also made some good moves recently like bringing in Shump, J.R. and Mozgov.
I think they have enough good players to win but they're not playing very smart. Don't know if that's the coach's fault or Lebron's...

if that's true then Lebron is pretty good GM. Yeah he made a mistake with Love, but getting Mozgof, JR Smith and Shumpert while dumping Dion Waiters was nice. They became contenders right away

This team tris to play a traditional lineup when it's clear the league is bout matchups. Pieces are there but reluctance to change is also there.
Against golden state lebron has to play PF. Only guy that can defend green and also tire him 9ut. Golden state will move igg or Barnes to the 4 but lebron can post them up.

this is a thread about whos responsible for the cavs gm failures you ****ing tool
if it was a colluding/tampering thread then it would be my "premise"
and it still was technically since leGM and the cavs agreed to a trade before wiggins availability
but thanks again for admitting it was 100% brans idea to bring in love

love isnt the only problem
- Mozgof ( good player. solid acquisition )
- JR Smith ( horrible fit. team cancer. breaks offense/cohesiveness )
- Shumpert ( good player. solid acquisition )
- mo williams ( ball hog. black hole. )
- jefferson ( old and finished. worthless )
- jones ( all he can do is shoot. )
- convincing cavs to give thompson a near max contract ( way overpaid )
including love thats 6 bad decisions and only 2 good ones

Mozgof is only good with teams like Memphis. A slow grinding team makes him a good asset. Against teams like Golden State and OKC, he's tough to start out there.
JR Smith is a decent open shooter and great scoring option when he feels like it. You live with his mistakes and honestly, he's been better in Cleveland than New York.
Shumpert is a good value guy.
Mo williams can play off the ball. Much better off the ball than Kyrie.

Let me stop you right there. LeBron wanted proven players. Cavs likely would have been fine having the present and future promising, but LeBron wanted to win now. Also, Wiggins doesn't seem to be leading Wolves anywhere. Their future now rests with KAT, who has already overtaken Wiggins.

They will be a lot better by the end of the year. Cleveland is already very good. I think the main problem is the coaching. Warriors and Spurs are all in with the coaching. Blatt doesn't have the power to shape the team and actually coach the games. In the Spurs game Blatt was about to put in Kyrie and LeBron waived him off. He can't be an effective coach if he's constantly being over ruled by his player. If Cavs want to take it to the next level they need to buy into a system where they can the most out of their players.

What does Melo have to do with this?
The Knicks aren't contending yet...and might not be until Melo is hardly recognizable as Melo anymore. So that's not a good example.
