This is a major movement for the bright future of the Lakers. Freeing up space for KD!

2 very important key role players, I believe we could get something nice in return

Hibbert + Swaggy P for Love? Cousin? Anyone?

OKC will give you Dion Waiters aka Rich Man's Harden, a second round pick, and a big bag of doritos (sweet chili heat flavor)

you would have to pay someone to take those players let alone trade. :lol

if you change young with lou will, do you think boston would be interested

Hibbert as their only real rim protector, along with johnson.

and then a back court of:

IT/Smart
Bradley/Lou Will

seems like a cohesive one

Boston would probably give us lee's expiring for Hibberts. and maybe one of their out of rotation FC players (jerebko?), and ideally, as a laker fan, one of their late 1st rd picks.

I don't think Boston would be interested in Lou. They have IT already don't need another short player that has no Defense.

i definitely understand that. but basically youre getting yourself another IT/bradley combo coming off your bench in smart/lou will. and its not like louw will doesnt try on defense, unlike young.

Hmmm.

Asik/draft considerations to Philly, Hibbert/Young to NOP, and LAL receives fringe NBA guys from Philly who are expiring or have non guaranteed deals for next year.

they have negative impacts. i don't even know how either is still in the nba

There has to be a caveat that they don't want future salary coming back. Which drastically limits what they can get in return, if anything.

NOLA just lost Gordon, maybe they would entertain a Young deal?

Aren't philly shopping to get rid of big men not bring in another?

Young is the biggest pos in the league..

Should have signed Beasley for bench scoring..

Aren't philly shopping to get rid of big men not bring in another? If the draft pick(s)/swap(s) are enticing enough, they'd just absorb him into space and cut him this summer imo. They'll have something like $50M in cap space iirc.

But I would think that they would need a pick swap and lightly (if not unprotected) pick to do so.

Their ability to "rent" capspace will mostly be gone at season's end until the cap starts trending downward in a couple years. There's gonna be too much cap room league-wide for them to exploit that tactic as much.

That being said, I expect at least one big man to be waived/traded this summer. Just speculation, but I don't expect Noel/Jahlil/Okafor/Saric/Landry/Holmes to all be on next year's roster.

I'll trade a protected first rounder to keep Young and Hibbert OFF my team. Instead of asking what teams will give the lakers to obtain these two they should be asking what teams will give the lakers to not take on these guys

Isn't Gordon expiring? Lou Williams, Swaggy P, and Brandon Bass for Gordon.

How about Hibbert and Swaggy P for Whiteside straight up ?

That way Hibbert can still plug the center role, and Nick Young can give you guys a nice starting SG.
