Which type of player do you think feels the most content nightly? Or which type of player would you feel most at ease being?

A) Perennial top 5, MVP caliber player who is always scrutinized under a microscope, feels the pressure to be the face of the league and to add to your legacy
Ex. Prime Kobe, Lebron, Durant, etc.

B) The 2nd- 3rd tier, multi-time all-star that may be the best player on his team but rarely considered a legit MVP candidate
Ex. Prime Pierce, prime Amare Stoudemire, Toronto Bosh, etc.

C) The potential journey- man, borderline all-star/ 6th man of the year caliber player who is good enough to always have a job, but could get traded at any time
Ex. Jamal Crawford, Monta Ellis, prime Lamar Odom, etc.

D) The non all- star who is a solid, consistent, and dependable contributor whose intangibles outweigh his box score production such that teams would create a spot for you as a veteran because of your leadership and intangibles
Ex. Horry, Fisher

E) The consistent 8th to 12th man on a roster who receives many DNP due to coach

I think D. These types of guys always know their roles and accept their limitations. C might be as well, but many of them were also potential stars who never really fulfilled their potential. A and B probably have too much pressure and ego, while E might be anxious for their next paycheck.

Second tier stars or players that are hella overpaid, because they know that they really don't have to give a damn anymore

Examples: Joe Johnson, current Kobe Bryant, Bargnani, tristan thompson, vin baker, eddy curry, enes kanter....do i have to keep going?

Joe Johnson. He's on such a bad contract that he had no risk of being traded and on such a shit team that he doesn't have to play well. Unlike Kobe either, his team literally has no future this no pressure for him to help with any young player's development.

D easily. He will tell his grandsons how he sucked hard yet got 5/7 rings that no one expect he would win by playing with some legendary players and saving their legendary asses several times during their careers with clutch shots

it depends on the personality type of the person. an alpha is always at ease and an alpha could be in any of those roles.

the only thing this thread does is show everyone on inside hoops your lack of knowledge pertaining to human psychology.

Obviously A, if you're in that caliber, you won't care what scrutiny you will receive. **** em, it's your team. You do what you do.
