Crazy drunk chick gets in random Uber and harasses driver after refusing to give ride

This Uber driver deserves a bonus from the company (and a medal for having self-restraint while dealing with this animal). I know everyone has their bad days, or drunk moments, but this was over the top (i thought I knew what psycho was until i experienced this).

[Sunday night in Miami, Fl (Mary Brickell Village)]
We were on the phone with this uber driver while he pulled up to our location. Out of nowhere the girl in the video gets in the backseat of his car and won't get out. We told the driver it was ok, to just cancel our ride, but he did not want to take her anywhere so he kept telling her to get out.

Eventually the driver gets out and says he's calling the cops to get her out of the car. After a couple of minutes of the driver pretending to talk to the cops (im assuming he was pretending because they never showed up at first), the girl decides to reach into the front seat, grab his keys, and start walking away with his keys in her hands.... That's where the video starts...

The police finally showed up after this video ends. The girl was in a taxi cab about to leave when the showed up and they had to stand in front of the taxi and tell him to stop. The girl eventually got up from the area the cops had told her to sit and wait, and tried to walk away from the scene.

Once in handcuffs, she then tried kicking some of the police officers on the scene. It was only when they put her in the police car that she started crying, apologizing, and claiming that she would lose her medical license (she claimed to be a neurologist) if she got arrested.

The Uber driver was too good of a person and decided to take a cash settlement instead of pressing charges. In his words, "...she was crying (and) said (she) was sorry for everything." I don't want to disclose the amount the driver was paid, but can say he could only use the money to pay his cellphone bill and maybeee his cable bill.

I don't know if I agree with the idea that she needs to lose her job because of her behavior outside of work, but I do expect her to suffer the consequences of the law. At the very least I feel that being fired from her job should not be the first or only punishment resulting from this incident.

She's guilty of harassment, assault, battery, and theft at the least (she grabbed the guys keys). Someone with a more in-depth knowledge of the law might be able to pinpoint a few other crimes she committed during the course of this video.

But I think it's pretty important that people like this are not allowed to practice medicine of all professions. Nor should a person like this be able to practice law or be a police officer or judge to name a few other jobs. Cool. I think I poorly worded my own outrage at her "getting away with a crime." I understand that losing her job would likely be devastating to her, and in her opinion would "ruin her whole life over some drunken incident." (In her words what she would presumably call "one mistake")

Basically my intention is to state that in order for the law to work and or each of us to believe in the system there must be a criminal punishment of some kind for this incident. I accept the fact that the driver has the right to take money and move on as quickly as he chooses. (Even though I don't like it.)

Being drunk and disorderly in public, littering, assaulting an officer, etc. should not be something that can be swept under the rug or magically erased. Losing her job does make perfect sense as a following consequence from violating the law.

the neurology department isn't dandy-bear daycare, the higher ups use the e-mail system for far more important things than seeing hundreds of e-mails about a drunk girl. People aren't just cautiously e-mailing the designated person, but every random e-mail they can find. Regular patients and employees will be fcked over too.

The bottom line for most people is that this incident is unsettling from the standpoint of breaking the law. It doesn't take an expert on laws to know that several violations of the law took place in this situation.

For me personally, I am asking how the public intoxication, littering, attacking the driver, AND assaulting a Police officer have all been swept under a rug? I could go so far as to see how even the first 3 violations were thrown out. But how the hell can she kick a Police officer and not pay the same penalty as the rest of society?

Again...in order for the law to have justice and for each of us to believe in the system we live in, we must all be treated the same for our actions outside the law.

Naw more like someone who's health was deteriorating and had doctors who did nothing. All it took for a reverse in my bad health was some simple dietary adjustments. One's in which doctors told me were crazy and wouldn't do anything. Also a person who has watched many loved one's health go down the shitter by thinking their doctor knows everything and does no wrong.

Yes if you need surgery, are in a catastrophic event, or have an infection and need an antibiotic doctors have there place. But for preventive medicine and holistic health advice they are useless and often scandalous.
