Congrats to Melo, the most underappreciated star in the game.

Not like Bird had a long healthier career.

Melo is a great player. His offensive skills are legendary.
Unfortunately like bron he had shit coaches and teammates so his career has been damaged
Congratulations to him. What an accomplishment. He needs a ring now.

He had the chance to ditch that team though.

Congrats to Melo. He has a shot at hitting the top 10 when all is said and done, though I don't think he's anywhere near one of the 10 best scorers historically.

The one thing I've noticed about Melo is that he is really appreciated by college players and really young high school guys.
I remember a few years back a lot of the college guys always cited Melo's name as one of the best players in the league. People really appreciate the aesthetics side of his game, and I agree in terms of his jumpshot and ability to play out of the triple threat position.

If we ignore the no defense 80's he is definitely in the conversation.

Not even then, and I don't know why you'd ignore the 80s. Players like Adrian Dantley and Bernard King were much better scorers than Melo, IMO.

And it's amazing how good he is out of the triple threat position considering he usually just threatens the drive or the jumpshot...more like a double threat position for him.
Good for Melo. Mr. Honey Nut Cheerios has some all-time level offensive skills.

In what way are they stacked? having a bunch 10 pt 5 rb bigs, and a solid but not superstar pg in billups? Billups wouldn't even be a top 15 point guard in today's nba. JR Smith on the bench. MEH, he took that team as far as it could go.

King didn't have the longevity, and Dantley is probably the goat scorer if we are just going on volume/efficiency.

King still played over 800 games plus he was amazing for New York in the playoffs. I agree hat the knee injury limited his place as a scorer, but man was he good.

He should've signed with the Bulls when he had the chance. I can't blame him for picking his hometown Knicks though.

he made the right choice, noah is bad and drose is the pg version of amare plus they wouldn't have gotten pau if he went there so who tf would be their center?

In 2012, Rose & Noah were the 2 best players on the Bulls.
Rose
Korver
Carmelo
Boozer
Noah
Scalabrine
That team might have done some damage in the 2012 playoffs if everyone stayed healthy.
