bears are un fightable for anyone but other bears. its not only their strength but them claws and teeth make them way worse than any overrated gorilla. they got the edge over lions since they can climb and aren't afraid of water.

Bears are master grapplers and sambo/judo experts

Gorillas have a freakish wingspan, a stronger bite (used to snap bamboo), fingers + opposable thumgs for eye gouges etc, and superhuman strength

The bears use their weight by leaning on their opponent. It wouldn't be a problem for the Silverback's strength

If the Gorilla can keep low on the bear and possibly tear a limb/dislocate one of the hind legs, it would go a long way to winning.

Ever see the documentary of the juvenile delinquent elephants that lost their parents at a young age and started killing rhinos. Elephants are among the smartest animals, they avoided the head on collision. They did the side topple crush move.

I see your point but the question is are African Elephants so tall that a direct attack would not affect them. Instead offer only a tusk to the rhino's face.

Bengal Tigers do eat bears. So it means they have a way of knowing how to kill them. Big cats kill every other predator so it has better know how to kil than other animals. I doubt it could kill a grizzly in a single fight. But would wound, attack, rest and eventually kill it.
