Past has nothing to do with now. New ownership (Kaplan is going to buy 20% of the team with the option to buy a controlling interest when Taylor decides to go out for good. Ironclad lease as well, also going to have a huge say in the next coach) + New coach + another year of development of Wiggins and Towns and we'll be much improved next year. Long was away but I will guarantee we make the playoffs the year after next and then stay there for a long time.

Wiggins will be here for another 6 years after this year and KAT 7 more years. Both of them don't have the personality to demand trades. It's also possible the length of max contracts will increase from the current 4 years.:cheers:

This thread isn't about the Timberwolves or the Pelicans. It's about Anthony Davis and Karl Anthony Towns. The likelihood of both of those players being on those teams 12 years from now is low in my eyes.

The only way is if the Wolves become a consistent winner. Towns doesn't have an ego so if he is winning he will be fine. BUT if we aren't winning while he is here after 6-8 years, then honestly i'd like to see him go elsewhere. If we aren't winning by the time KAT is in his prime than the Wolves did something drastically wrong and I would want KAT to go to a winner.

I just think he is the type that would rather play for a team that he himself took from being crap to a consistent winner. In all the interviews and articles about his life that's the vibe I get from him.

Wiggins + Towns + Another top 5 pick and to a lesser degree Rubio and Lavine and we should be in a great spot a few years down the road.
