in hindsight

shaq burned bridges with every single player, coach and owner he ever had.
lebron burned bridges with every single player, coach and owner he ever had.

Lebron is on his 3rd run with a team and hes only 30.
Shaq made 6 trips to different franchises.

Kobe played every single year with ONE team.
Kobe NEVER made a coaching decision.

Phil loves him like a son to this very day. they had turbulence. but in the end. things worked out for the best. so much so that kobe asked for him to come back in 2013.

Laker management wasnt strong armed by kobe either. they went with d'antoni under their own volition. and kobe tried his best to make it work. having one of his 4 or 5 best seasons in 2013.

Every player kobe has ever played with has elevated their game. the one single bad vibe a guy ever had for kobe ( other than shaq due to his own insecurities ) was smush parker. and even he played well beyond his own talent with kobe.

Its quite obvious kobe is the better teammate. bran and shaq were the uncontrollable cancers. not kobe.

kobe right now is shaqs only former star teammate thats still friends with him

Haven't the Lakers just gone through a bunch of coaches? How long was Brown there for?

It wasn't "people" who called Kobe "uncoachable". It was his coach, Phil Jackson, who called him that.

Was that during the 3peat or repeat?

Kobe had problems with everyone of his coaches, which includes Phil "11 rings" Jackson. They made up, but Kobe was one of the main reasons Phil left in the first place.

Shaq stroked guys like Phil and Pat Riley off, but was pretty cancerous to "lesser" figures.

I think these guys just need a bigname championship winning headcoach that demands respect, otherwise they walk all over them. That Phil or Riley type of figure.

LeBron on the otherhand could be one of those militant black guys behind the scenes who "demands a black coach", yet will get butthurt at anyone else expressing racial preferences at anything. I know his buddy Chris Paul is exactly like that. Coincidentally enough the Cavs replacement is a black guy in tyrone lue.

It's obvious David Blatt was an absolutely inept head coach either way though. The Cavs hired him when they thought they'd still be tanking for those #1 overall picks. lebron wasn't on the team yet.
