Do you guys ever have dreams of getting shot?

I do sometimes. Usually happens in a scenario where I'm an uncooperative asshole with someone trying to mug me or something and then they pull out a gun and shoot me. Anyone ever have a dream like that?

sometimes, other times other times I lay there dying / blacking out but in those dreams at some point i'm able to realize i'm not dead and by then the dream takes a different course

Yeah kind of weird, I get those like 3 times a year. But I always wake up right as I hit the lava, usually spazzing out and falling out of my bed.
This also reminds me, I once dreamed for 7 straight days that I fell down the hole where Obi-Wan and Darth Maul fought after in SW-1 when Maul beats Kenobi. By the 5th time I was getting freaking annoyed

Where I used to live, there were people held at gunpoint every few weeks it seemed. Wasn't really a dream but when I used to walk home late at night alone on weekends, I would always look over my shoulder. Shots were fired a few years ago where my friend lived about 5 blocks up from where I lived.

It's crazy how rough Chicago is in certain parts and Cleveland is actually pretty dangerous. They have some high rates of crime and some real bad neighborhoods.

You gotta be incredibly disturbed/tortured to be dreaming of getting shot.

It's your subconscious mind re-creating all the times you've been attacked, bullied, etc. You think about that stuff so much it manifests itself into you being shot in your dreams

I just remember it was burning pretty bad and I couldn't move very well afterwards. Then I started to fall asleep in my dream and woke up a moment later. Typical dying in your dreams sort of thing.
