I know it's a crazy thought that the reigning MVP could win MIP but he's having arguably the best offensive season ever and he's had a huge uptick in performance from even where he was last year. I haven't heard anyone float it yet but I could see it getting in the hands of some writers and it gaining steam.

He's up there, but I think there's no way McCollum doesn't win it.

I think Julius Randle has to be in the mix for discussion of Most Improved Player. He's increased his points per game by 8 points, he drastically increased his rebounds per game by over 9 points...his FG% has increased.

Absolutely will NOT happen.
Those voting will not give a guy who is the runaway MVP the MIP award as well. Not happening.

No. It's silly to even discuss.

Yeah after Barton, Reggie Jackson among others.
No he's not up there. Clearly you and other have no clue how MIP works

This reminds me of Bill Walton talking about giving it to Lebron years ago when he was already an MVP. Not happening. That said....
Tim Hardaway got MIP votes at age 30. So did Glen Rice. Shaq got 2 votes in 2000 and some in 2005. Tony Parker, Lebron, and Kobe all got votes in 2006. Dirk got votes in 2005. Wade got them in several years.
People do vote existing stars as MIP. But they never win. And shouldnt.

Curry has added 6.3 ppg and 1.1 rpg. He's improved his already ridiculous percentages and he's already 37th all time in 3s made per season. His per is 4 higher than it was last year. Jackson's per is one higher than it was in Detroit last year and his ppg has gone up 3 but he's also lost a lot of assists.

Draymond would have a case too, if including Steph.
