While I think Spo is an average coach at best, he was the only who has ever challenged LeBron and got him to reinvent himself after 2011.

Brown, Blatt... all cowards

yes it is quite sad and disappointing. After the ups and downs with lebron + cavs, you would think they would provide a half decent coach. If lue fails as a coach now, i wouldn't put it past lebron to leave cleveland for a organization that knows what the hell they are doing.

Lebron can't fit into a good, optimal system like the Spurs, Warriors or 90's Bulls.. Those systems don't allow non-point guards to employ a ball-dominant style - that's just too much ball-dominance to work in those systems.. Lebron's ball-dominant style would destroy those systems - those teams would be much worse playing Lebron-ball - it would be like night and day.

Lebron's style allows him to achieve stats by significantly reducing the APG and PPG of teammates - this is statistical fact (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11709582&postcount=17).

Not only does Lebron reduce teammates' APG, but he increases their assisted rate, proving he turns teammates from playmakers into play-finishers..

Naturally, his teammates' basic play-finishing roles no longer succeed against the best teams in the playoffs, which explains their consistent underperformance in the Finals - the story is always how Lebron's teammates underperformed against the best teams, leading to TEAM underperformance by losing as the favorite (2009 ECF, 2010 ECSF, 2011 Finals) or when it's 50/50 (2014 Finals) (http://www.nj.com/knicks/index.ssf/2014/06/nba_finals_2014_experts_predict_whether_the_heat_o r_spurs_will_come_out_on_top_in_the_finals_rematch .html).

The reason Lebron turns teammates into play-finishers is twofold (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=12056301&postcount=60).

A lot of fans don't get it - Lebron's ball-dominant style takes over every team he's on - look at Miami - with Wade there, Lebron had the best incentive to play off-ball... But he couldn't do it - he's not capable of playing that way.. You simply can't run the Warriors offense or the triangle with Lebron on the floor, PERIOD.

Now the question is WHY does Lebron turn teammates into play-finishers - the reason is twofold (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=12056301&postcount=60).

Lebron's ball-dominance and the subsequent reduction of teammates into play-finishers takes over every team he's on.. It's called Lebron-ball, and Lebron doesn't know how to play any other way.

Look at Miami - with Wade there, Lebron had the best incentive to play off-ball... But he couldn't do it - he's not capable of playing that way..

You simply can't run the Warriors offense or the triangle with Lebron on the floor, PERIOD.. Lebron-ball simply takes over, because that's the only way he knows how to play.

Can you imagine the Warriors, Spurs, or 90's Bulls turning their 70-win juggernauts of optimal chemistry and teamwork into disgusting Lebron-ball?... I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
