Sauteed mushrooms are the shit, as are all forms of fresh cooked mushrooms.

Deep fried mushrooms go hard on an appetizer list, as do mushroom caps with basil and parmesan cheese.

I get pretty annoyed when I order mushrooms on a pizza and those motherf*ckers put canned ones on that shit, it's usually the places that pride themselves on making 'Authentic Pizza' too. Sauce on point, crust on point but canned mushrooms :facepalm

Never been a fan. I hate mushrooms on pizza too, because they always get stuck in the cheese and stay hidden, unlike other undesired toppings that can easily be picked off.

I like how they soak up sauces and stuff. I generally only eat them in Pasta or with red meat though.

I like Baby Bellas. Shitakes. Crimini. White Button's are ok. I can do oysters but sometimes they get a little slimy. The texture can get a little iffy on most mushrooms if they're not handled right.

I could go for some spaghetti with meatballs and diced mushrooms. You're right in that they soak up sauces.
