Because they have slightly higher IQ than 60, unlike the OP and Dairy Crows, and know that jumpers are typically inefficient.

Why don't OP go back to school.

Why don't OP go back to school.

Because he is banned from all of them

Okay here is the breakdown

-Lebron can't shoot, period.
-Westbrook has a POVERTY 36.5 inch vert so by the end of the game he doesn't have the legs to create the separation to make a shot
-Wall is still developing in the mind but will be able to do so once his jumper and mindset is improved, hopefully he leaves the dud wizards and gets a real career soon.

a jumper, especially a defended midrange jumper is just too inefficient. if you have the athleticism and strenght to drive to the basket: go for it.
but i think a player has to be unpredictable. a mix of jumpers and drives are probably the best.
i mean Dirk is primaly a shooter, but against bosh in game 2 of the 2011 finals he decided to make the drive and bosh wasnt prepared for that

Explosiveness helps your jumpshot.

Rose is explosive off the first step so he doesn't need to take many steps to become explosive. This allows him to use step backs and one dribble pullups effectively.

Westbrook and Wall have to get running starts to become explosive so they need more space to create their jumpshot. This limits them to pick and roll drives that turn into a pullup and transition pullups.

Your Theories are retarded. Was Chauncey Billups explosive when he was shooting those step backs. Have you played basketball in your life? Those things are skills.

Because they're not thinking of their children while they're on the court.

Why shoot a jumper when you can get a layup/dunk.

What is up with the retarded logic on this site?

the problem is they can't get a layup as easily in the clutch.

:yaohappy: ... Nice softball bruh.

Lebron's jumpshooting has been near the bottom of the league for substantially his entire career - here's Lebron's FG% on all "jumpshots" and "midrange" from stats.nba.com (midrange is defined as all shots inside 3-point line but outside paint):

.........All Jumpshots................... Midrange

2004: 32.5%, 324/998............ 33.2%, 183/551
2005: 35.2%, 400/1136.......... 36.0%, 217/602
2006: 36.3%, 423/1166.......... 38.4%, 242/630
2007: 34.9%, 372/1066.......... 35.1%, 204/581
2008: 33.8%, 338/1001.......... 36.4%, 185/508
2009: 35.7%, 366/1024.......... 36.8%, 193/525
2010: 36.7%, 356/970........... 38.8%, 188/444
2011: 40.6%, 393/968........... 44.6%, 217/487
2012: 39.9%, 290/726........... 42.3%, 188/444
2013: 42.5%, 333/784........... 43.2%, 174/403
2014: 39.1%, 288/736........... 38.5%, 126/327
2015: 35.5%, 280/788........... 37.0%, 127/343
2016: 33.1%, 114/331........... 36.6%, 56/163

Westbrook and Wall's jumpshot is equally horrible - all these guys rely on their at-rim shots for their scoring, which gets closed-off by the best teams and in the clutch.

Just look at Lebron's 2007 Finals - he shot 17.2% on all jumpshots (60% of offense) and 65% on at-rim shots (40% of offense)...

The same scenario happened in 2015 Finals where horrific efficiency on jumpshooting was the cause for his horrible overall efficiency - he shot 28% on jumpshots (72% of offense) and 67% at the rim (28% of offense).
