I thought that LA would take Green down on the box and give him the business, but he totally was the reason the game got out of hand last night. No fire, no will to win, just moist ass fadeaways. He has to get the it together.

all he does is shoot jumpers like Anthony "empty stats, no impact" Davis.

centers/PFs are all soft these days

Saying that all are is a bit unfair.

The shots he gets aren't good shots. 39 year old Duncan is better than him

I had no idea he was this bad but I never watched him in Portland. His post game is trash

research before you speak....in portland he was their best player and he dominated that rockets series a few years back...absolutely murdered the rockets. Is he physical like a zach randolph or draymond green? hell no. Nobody more skilled on the low block than him though and has a soft touch allowing him to draw defenders out to the 3 point line.

He was always like this. A great player, but never a huge fire or alphaness about him. Only time I've seen him consistently play with some fire in him was the Rockets series a couple of years ago. He definitely does have a post game, it's just not a bruiser style. It's more finesse.

He a jumpshoter on the low block that takes a long time to get into his moves. guys like both Gasols, Cousins, Duncan, Al Jefferson are all more skilled on the block.

He takes too long down there and when the result is a turn around jumper it seems like it may not be worth going to him much.

Just saying he isn't as good as I thought he was

not trying to argue with you but you just named 4 centers....lamarcus is a pf...always has been and always will be. second the guys you named arent more skilled....they are more physical than aldridge. Im serious man.....just watch some tape of lamarcus....you letting a half of a season with a new team playing with 4 hall of famers cloud your judgment on lamarcus. Youve been warned

He's like a throwback Western Conference center from the early 2000s. I love Demarcus's game. Shame he has literally no talent around him besides a ton of average role players, Rondo who takes up 1/2 possessions just dribbling late games, and Gay who has never been an All Star or good enough to really help a team get over a hump.

He never really excels at anything not a great rebounder, not a great defender, just a solid good player. Not really a player you can depend on, he doesn't have that fire in him. I could be wrong, If I am enlighten me. I'm ok with it.

33/15 on 53% shooting this month. He isn't a scrub. Not a great defender but an animal on the boards when he wants to be.

Said this a year ago but then everyone got mad and said LMA was alpha post player. Most you guys suck balls at eye test.

Actually a damn good comparison. Unless he's being defended by Terrence Jones, the dude doesn't show up against legit competition regularly. His body language and effort was so poor last night.

He's one of the most talented PF's today but he gotta step it up when the things get tough. Last night was his time to shine in the absence of Timmy, but he shrunk like a dick in cold weather. David West showed more heart and fire than him.

He has always played this way...and he's only moved further and further away from the basket as the years have gone by. His last two years on the Blazers only 35% of his shots were taken within 10 feet of the basket...and almost every shot he takes is going away from the basket. (hence why he gets to the ft line so little) I've thought he's been overrated for years and never understood why he was so sought after this off season (at 30) when he's also an average defensive player for a big man. When the jumper is falling he looks great (like early on in that Rocket series in 2014)...but when it's not he looks like ass because he won't attack the basket. ( 21.8ppg on 22.4 shots vs the Grizzlies in last years first round...33%fg)

He can easily be the best big man in the league.......but he's mentally weak.

We all saw what he did up against Dwight/Asik during the Rockets-Blazers series.

But as a sidekick, he gets all passive and starts to defer, as if he's afraid of what people will think of him if he doesn't share the ball.

In reality, he just needs to man the f*ck up and score. Defense has been great this year and he's strong enough to keep up with Draymond and Bogut but again, he's not willing to be "the man" to blame/praise/hate/love. That's why he left Portland, imo. Too much pressure/spotlight.

it's decent but it's really simple and predictable. which is why Green was literally guarding his shots before he even got them off. aldridge has limited mobility and he can telegraph his moves.

i remember green saying he memorized randolph and gasol's postmoves in the playoffs last year after the first two games. tbh, it would take just a brief film room session to figure out aldridge's game.

and yeah, Duncan is clearly superior to Aldridge because of defense.

LMA just a poor imitation of Dirk. Lazy to post up or drive, just settles for jumpers all day. Portland presented him as all-star calibre but his team just covered his weaknesses.
