Everything varies on what kind of play were running.
Three pointer? Ray Allen
Drive to the basket? LeBron
Free throw? Three way tie Nash-Kidd-Allen
Mid range shot? Pierce-Dirk

How do you run a free throw play? :biggums:
and in this question, you are the coach so you pick the player and which ever play you wanna run with 5 seconds left and down 3 pts

Give it to someone to set up Steve Kerr or Kyle Korver in the corner.

Surprised nobody has said Jordan yet. Curry, Mike, Magic or Bird

Who do you want to shoot it? Who do you want to inbound it to? Those could be grossly two different people.
Kobe, Dirk, Bird, and Curry (maybe west if there were a 3 back then) are the guys who I feel like you can give to to in either scenario.
Though given the question, it might be who do you have inbounding the ball. The correct answer to that is Robert Horry btw, i'm not sure there's a second choice.

Jordan doesn't do down at the end of a game 7 by 3. He'd never allow it?

Harden has the highest 3pt % in NBA history of those with more than 20 attempts when down 3 and under 24 seconds.

kobe
hes the best 1 on 5 player that can create a 3 point opportunity with any kind of defense on him
and hes better at making difficult shots than anyone. and chances are with only 5 seconds itel have to be some kind of wild look over 2 guys
only choice is kobe really. since hes been in that situation too more than anyone..
don't really care about the percentages later in his career.
they compare kobes crazy shots to other people who only shoot wide open or pass cause they protect their fg%
in this case my choice MUST take the shot
so i'm going with kobe..

dude doesnt even have a jumpshot :lol
5 seconds is not a lot of time so ideally it would be someone who can create a great shot off the dribble. KD would be a great choice for this type of scenario

game 7 nba finals though. that is when the jumpshot and clutch factor is at it`s highest

Totally agree, dude has no fear. I would just say Ray Allen, he's come closer to that situation than anyone else ever. Pretty much anyone that has shot greater than 40% in any season is a worthy candidate

Bird. Not just because he is arguably the greatest shooter in NBA history (Curry can challenge that), but he also have qualities other great 3PT shooters dont - GOAT BBIQ, height and shooting form makes it impossible to block, also more cold blooded than anyone else in basketball history.
Larry Bird. No one should be more feared in the clutch than him
