Blazers need to be losing, not making the playoffs.

Lakers, Wolves, Pelicans, maybe even the Nuggets, each have a chance to become very good by getting either Simmons or Ingram. Blazers could be in that position by dropping 5ish games.

Otherwise, the Blazers are going to get stomped on in the next few years by the Warriors/Spurs. Then, another young team like the Lakers, Wolves, or Pelicans in the future.

They just need to be like bottom 8 team. Tanking doesn't always lead to greatness. They are stuck in the middle right now though. If they don't land a big time free agent (which isn't going to happen) then it's many years of Lillard's career wasted.
