Because Kobe only have 2 Finals MVP, and 1 NBA MVP. And he's also the worst finals performer among the top 10 players of all time.

because hes the only small PG to carry a team to multiple titles in a respectable era.... ( which should have been 3 straight since the refs blew it on the last call in regulation for game 6 of the finals )

Because Russell was his teammate. Same reason why Kobe failed to win an MVP and Finals MVP when Shaq played for the Lakers.

They were the most valuable players of their teams, and not a sidekick.

and if kobe never left shaq to win multiple fmvps and league mvps on his own to validate his rings while also being the leagues best player for atleast most of the decade...... then he'd be left in the same position as havlicek

This list sucks. I might not agree with the ESPN Lists, but at least they provided some logic and explanations.

LeBron is a top 10 player of all time. You can put him anywhere from number 7 to 9. And he has some good arguments from the other players. And his career is not yet finished unlike Kobe Bryant.

That's not true, that vote was done in 2012. He added another MVP, Finals MVP, and had a 27 game win streak/66 win season

Havlicek carried that Celtics team after Bill Russell retired. He could have been a 3x NBA Finals MVP.

He was the real 1969 NBA Finals MVP when West won it. And He was the Celtics best player in the 1968 NBA Finals.

even if you were right ( and you're not... since i'm refering to a more recent poll on here )

that would still leave lebron with 2 titles vs hakeems 2 and wilts 2

and how do we do tie breakers?

well lebron ring chased, colluded, cheated, got bailed out by ray allen, played with more hall of famers than those other 2 guys. and hes a quitting little bitch ass ****** saboteur that ****ed over 2011 and 2016

so no.. hes not top 10 you punk ass ******

shut the **** up already about lebron

EXPOSED by heat ownership as a back stabbing prick

gets the 2nd best coach in the nba fired so his buddy can run things

gets top draft pick rookies traded for stretch 4 three point role players

quits and runs at every sign of adversity

hakeem won 2 legit alpha rings while dominating the finals

averaging 27ppg in 1994
and 33ppg in 1995

wilt won 2 iffy rings while averaging

17ppg in the 1967 finals ( 9ppg less than teammate hal greer at 26ppg )
and 19ppg in the 1972 finals ( 7 less ppg than teammate gail goodrich at 26ppg )

wilts constant lesser play when it matters most while hakeem thrived is why hakeems 2 titles are much more valuable... especially the 1994 title in which hakeem had nobody

wilt basically has a couple of 2000 kobe bryant 21 year old rings... and unlike kobe he has no excuse

well when you play in an era where the celtics have 6-7 HOF'rs at a time hogging all the rings. guys like west/baylor/oscar get somewhat of a pass

KG on the other hand played in a much more even era and only managed a 3rd option ring

atleast oscars was 2nd option

atleast oscars was 2nd optionLeading the team in the shot attempts for the regular season and playoffs, leading the Celtics in playoff scoring = 3rd option?

And that's not even taking into account the defensive side of the court where he anchored one of the greatest defenses of all time.

He was easily a top 5 player, maybe top 3 player and an MVP candidate that season.

So are we discrediting all of Kobe's titles with Shaq then?

And just smh at this post. Deeming Wilt's '67 title as "iffy" and putting it on par with '00 Kobe is the epitome of stupidity. Wilt's '67 season is better than any of Kobe's, and is easily a top 5 single season of all time

no because the finals were in the west during the kobe/shaq era

the real finals WAS the finals for wilt

kobe dominated the toughest series when games were tight and hackashaq was going on... then in the cakewalks shaq didnt have much pressure on him and he could dominate

thats why kobe deserves his first 3.
