I thought this kid was the son of Manute Bol. Looks like a good player. I love to see a future 7'6" and above that might be the next Yao Ming.

I hope he patterns his game after Kevin Garnett. It's nice to see him playing at the posts, and dunking the ball instead of shooting 3 pointers like Thon Maker.

He's going to gain weight as he becomes older.

Yao Ming gained some weight. Yao's legs couldn't bear that extra weight, which is why his career was short-lived.

And the Chinese national team forced him to play basketball even when he was injured.

Ugh I thought every time he jumped something was going to snap. So skinny, but that's to be expected at that age. Obviously the way he was playing in these videos won't fly in the pro league, and he'll have to develop a good post game at some point. I guess it's hard to bother doing when you're that young and your height is so dominant that you don't need to bother.

It will be interesting to see his progress. These kinds of guys often get riddled with injuries unfortunately.
