It's only a minute lol, but either way and also for anyone who can't watch:

He doesn't think there should be a black history month. He gives his reasoning by turning the question onto the reporter asking the reporter when he thinks his own race (white/jewish) should have it's own history month? Reporter stutters and says they wouldn't want one. Then the reporter segways into asking how Morgan Freeman thinks racism can be gotten rid of (implicating he thought black history month might be important/related that) and Freeman says something along the lines of stopping conversations about race and looking at people as individuals.

Tribalism is a fact, proven by scientific studies, and liberals who pretend it isnt are doing so as a self-serving mechanism to make themselves look like guardians of nu-age wisdom and ethics and progressiveness. But it is a fact.

Heres a thought experiment: If all the ardently racist white people said they were going to one side of the country away from blacks, and the moderate white people who arent filled with racial hatred but also arent sjw's decided to go ahead and join (so now youve got a significant number of white professionals), and then liberals like deucecuck had to make a decision; Go where all the other white people were going, starting new businesses, communities, societies etc, but be segregated and racist, or stay and live on the theoretical half of the country that was gonna be all black plus whatever liberals decided to stay....

Dude would be over to the white side in a SECOND FLAT. :oldlol: And the excuses he wouod come up with would be priceless beyond words.

People are tribal and whites are a majority in America. In China there is a different majority, in Botswana there is a different one. If you cant handle your business and you always feel like a victim or youre offended by a few jokes from time to time, just get tfo to wherever you feel at home and comfortable. All this be ding over backward to treat minorities like special ed kids when you let them win a basketball game is absurd. It's patronizing, divisive, and a waste of time. Mo Free is absolutely right.

I think some people genuinely do look at others as individuals.

It might only be a very few. And their wish or opinion that "if only" others would do the same race problems may not exist may only ever be a pipe dream. But it's not like it isn't an authentic opinion held and practiced by some. It also doesn't have anything to do liberal or conservative politics.

Completely agree

It's also why most liberals are inherently more racist

The quote about his opinion on race went something like this:

Wallace:
"Well how are we going to get rid of Racis...."

Freeman:
"Stop talking about it! I'm going to stop calling you a white man. And I'm going to ask you to stop calling me a black man. I know you as Mike Wallace, you know me as Morgan Freeman."

When we KNOW individuals, of course.

But when we dont know individuals, our brains naturally rely on whatever external information is has to make a judgement. About safety, education, attitude. And it's not just their race. We see how theyre dressed, how they walk, what region their accent is, how theyre behaving, and yes, their race as well. And based on all our previous knowledge and experience we make a judgement. Saying "I dont see color" is like saying "I dont see clothes" or "I dont hear accents." Yes you do. It doesnt mean everyone interprets it all the same way, we know that isnt true, but everyone sees it. Not just white people. Everyone.

And most of us have no problem treating individuals with respect. But there is naturally going to be conflict between obviously distinct groups. If a white guy hires a white over a black, there will be black people who think it was racist. If a black guy hires a black guy, some whites who didnt get the job will also feel the same way. Its inevitable. And this stuff will always keep coming up. Its a reality of society IMO.

Sadly, a majority of Obama's children don't have internet nor the wherewithal to seek out this clip and learn from a real smart man.

I used to see people as individuals and not race representatives.

Then I registered at ISH.
