Best team in the East. His stats went down after Irving returned from his injuries.
But it's nice to see Tyronn Lue making him one of the focal points of the Cavs offense.

Irving only been back a month, his stats didn't go down a whole bunch.
He may have been at 17/11.

3rd worst record in the NBA. Kobe needs to give his all stat spot to Damian Lillard.

nobody cares about lillard.

Easily Lillard and Pau, those are the two clear-cut snubs from the rosters. Furthermore, Kobe and LaMar us should not be on the rosters, their play isn't all-star worthy. Kobe's case is the reason I am completely against fan voting, people are stupid

Pau for me. Lillard just has it tough as the West guard positions are very strong.

Lillard got snubbed hard, he should have had Kobe's spot.
Also, Pau should have been an allstar, but for some reason the coaches choose to overload the allstar roster with guards

Should have gotten in as a wild card over Aldridge. Aldridge is on a good team, but he is playing poorly. Lillard has the Blazers in the playoffs currently despite losing Aldridge and 3 other starters, and with much better stats.

I would have liked to have seen Lillard over Aldridge, and Bledsoe over Klay. Then because of the injury, Klay gets in anyway.
In the East, Pau over Bosh, and Kemba over Derozan.

But... the All Star team is literally my least favorite part about the NBA. I think they do a horrible job with the entire process. So I stopped caring about 5 years ago.

And honestly, I'm OK with that. What annoys me is the lack of consistency in how the game is presented.
It should be either:
A game for the fans,
or
A celebration of the individual greatness in the league.
Currently, the league tries to do both, by having fans vote for starters, then the league choosing the backups.
I would propose that...
A) The league choose all 12 players for each team, leaving team record out of the equation(!!!), and let fans vote for the starters out of those players. In this instance, we may still talk about "All-star appearances" as a meaningful matter in GOAT discussions.
or
B) The fans choose all 12 players, and we stop acting as if "All-star appearances" have any merit in terms of GOAT discussions. Going this route, we could also focus on ways to make the game more entertaining and/or interactive, if possible.

I agree with B. All star is just an exhibition game to see the what ifs, crazy plays you will never see in a real game (like Shaq playing the pg position for one play back in the 2000's) or just see them having fun while playing. All Star game shouldn't be taking seriously. But still it does amount to the popularity of players which is why Kobe is in as a starter, so I think it should count for GOAT discussions just like it is now. To be popular in that league means you are clearly a better player than a lot of the rest considering the NBA has the best players in US and possibly the world.
Is just like the MVP, it is a popular vote kind of award where people, in this case the press, choose the best player out of their subjective opinion just like regular fan does.

even the coaches go the name recognition road...aldridge didnt deserve a spot, yea the team is great but no one single player on that team was hands down, clear cut, better than the other except for kawhi..coaches just picked him cause the spurs dominated as a team with the 2nd best record over another guy who is individually having a stellar year like cj
allstars should be picked on individual basis, not what your team is doing

It would have been cool to see the double-double machine make it. Stiff competition though.
