That's kinda f'd up. Lewis was on the verge of becoming a superstar and on his way to a HOF career. In the 1992 playoffs he averaged 28/4/4 on 53% with 2.4 steals. The year before he averaged 23/7 on 48% against the Pistons in the ECSF. If not for Bird's back issues I think either of those Celtics team could have beat the Bulls and potentially won a title. In 1992 they won 51 games with Bird missing half the season.

Lewis was a REALLY good player and he elevated his game in the playoffs. He was one of the few guys who could give Jordan problems due to his length and quickness. Jordan has said the same. Looking at the stats posted, in 4 of their final 6 matchups Lewis held Jordan to 45% or under from the field, including a 14 point performance.

I know there are louder Kobe people here, but 3ball wins this battle with his comeback using those gifs. (And I think 3ball likes Kobe, but hates Lebron. Just that Kobe stans antagonize him.)
