If he keeps is current production. Kid's game is real smooth.

I'd put Towns at 1st right now, but behind him it's between Okafor, Turner and maybe Porzingis.

Only way that would happen is if Towns, Porzingis, and Okafor all had season ending injuries or just played like scrubs for the rest of the season.

Turner is better than Porzingis, offensively at least.

If he and Towns both keep their current pace, Towns still wins.

How many 1sts would the pacers add for a porzingis turner swap?3 is the limit and the Knicks would still have an easy answer

Injuries concerns aside they have similar trajectories. KP just has a higher upside. KP's upside is extraordinary but people are acting like it's a sure thing. Sometimes there are plateaus that working hard in the gym can't overcome. We don't know where those plateaus are for any rookie. We can only estimate where they may lie.

No. He has almost 0% chance at even top 3.

All Rookie First Team will look something like:

Towns
Porzingis
Okafor
Winslow
Russell

He can maybe slip up into Russell's spot, but if he keeps up his good play he'll also pass up Justice Winslow.

If the season started 2 weeks ago, there's no doubt on my mind that he'd be contending for it. This guy has some serious offensive potential

Devin Booker has in on lock.

Unless Towns hits a rookie wall and gets cold, he has it on the lock.

Winslow and Russell ahead of Nikola Jokic? The best 20yo rookie since Shaq

This thread is about a guy averaging 9 and 4 being the ROY. You're arguing against and laughing at a 9 and 5 guy being in the top 5 rookies?

Um, actually Winslow is averaging less than 6 ppg.

There's a better 20 yo rookie in the same draft.

He's not close. His range is nowhere near Porzingas range. His inside moves are far inferior to Zing. His court awareness is also far inferior. Porzingis is the second best player on his team and wins games when Mello isnt playing. Turner is barely starting. It wouldn't surprise anybody if the Zinger outplayed anybody at his position.

He could make a run for Roy if he continues his stellar play in his last stretch of games. He is due to get more mins too that would boost his numbers. He has such a smooth game that people might have noticed by now if he landed on a bad team that gives a ton of mins to its rookies from the start like the others have.

Was waiting to see if anyone knew who Jokic was.
Since getting playing time he is as good as any rookie this season not named Towns.

It would surprise me if he outplayed AD, Green, Bosh, Millsap, Griffin.. off the top of my head. Sure he might, but a lot of players might.

Nope, but the Sky is the limit for this kid. He might become the next Jermaine O'Neal.
