2015 MLS Cup Champion: Portland Timbers
2015 MLS Supporters' Shield Champion: Seattle Sounders
2015 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Champion: Sporting Kansas City

2015 MVP and Golden Boot winner Sebastian Giovinco had such a dominant season he set a new MLS record for points (goals + assists) in a regular season. Unfortunately, TFC couldn't pass Impact in the knockout round of MLS Playoff.

But Gio is staying for 2016 so expect another great year for TFC!

Going to be a good year.

LA Galaxy has signed another big-named FA Ashley Cole.

On the other hand, NYRB's promising young defender Matt Miazga has been shipped to Chelsea for reportedly $5 millions.

It's going to be hard to root for the Galaxy.

He better be able to hang in the MLS.

Most Euro's are surprised with how tough the schedule is.

Sad to see Miazga go and I don't think Chelsea is the right move as Chelsea is going to be hard side for him to break into in the upcoming years. Leaves the NYRB with a hole at CB.. Parienelle is coming off a knee injury and was probably one of the slower CB's in the league already, Zubar was often injured last year and we drafted a bunch of CB's(maybe we strike gold?). We are rumored for some Ghanian CB playing in Finland..

In soccer I think a team needs to add some new faces every year to re energize the squad, add more competition and avoid stagnation. Don't want an overhaul by any means but I think another option at attacking midfielder and a destroyer would be good. With addition to a legit starting CB. But other than that the team looks good and we're trying to build internally instead of going the NYCFC route like we used too.

BTW, Colorado Rapids sign Shkelzen Gashi. That's a great signing and I was very surprised he picked Colorado of all places.

Pretty obvious. Still things can change quickly by few signings.

The Clique. Don't worry though...I don't think these Euros are not going to like the travel, humidity, elevation and heat.

CCL Quarterfinal, DCU is out. Galaxy is out.

Sounders and RSL will play their games tonight, with Sounders having the best chance but they must win or draw with 3 goals or more in Mexico. It could be another All-Mexican Final Four again.

RIP MLS teams in CCL, again :violin:

In other news, Didier Drogba, who is still committing to Impact despite other offers to leave the team, will be out of action and will miss the season opener against Whitecaps due to knee injuries related to artificial turf.

They need to make the first stages of CCL end of March so MLS teams can at least get a few weeks of play in. Way too unfit.

Anyways, my write-up on Galaxy vs DC United (http://mikesmind.sportsblog.com/posts/13652104/galaxy-kick-off-season-vs-dc-united.html).

The MLS is going to be fun this year, so glad Movsisyan is back in the states with Real Salt Lake and love the moves made by the CRapids with Howard & Jones. Not a huge fan of adding Cole and van Damme. De Jong I can live with. Dan Kennedy was great. Hated losing Juninho, but if Lletget is healthy, can live with it.

Plata owning Orlando City.

Movsisyan playing well, finally.

Seba dominating as usual, a PK goal and an assist for a 2-0 win over NYRB at NJ
Captain Tsubasa actually made the main roster and started as well

Piatti netted two for Impact for an away win against the Caps. :applause:

Magee Shines in Return (http://mikesmind.sportsblog.com/posts/13719069/magee-braces-in-return--galaxy-win-4-1.html)

Was off on my prediction, but I'll take it.

Hope Kennedy is ok, Rowe is solid, but I don't trust him yet. We can live without Gio if Magee returns to his old form.

What a choke by RSL tho

Galaxy Injury Report (http://mikesmind.sportsblog.com/posts/13919324/galaxy-injury-report.html)

Dan Kennedy & Giovanni Dos Santos are out. Alan Gordon could return to the bench and Jelle van Damme may make his debut.

Galaxy visit Colorado (http://mikesmind.sportsblog.com/posts/13987045/galaxy-visit-rapids.html)

No Dos Santos, no Kennedy, no Leonardo, but Gordon & Van Damme will be available.

Galaxy take it 2-nil behind Magee & Lletget.

Villa got 2 goals for an early lead while Giovioco had a nice set piece leading to a goal and netted one himself for a 2-2 draw at Yankees Stadium.

4 points off NY road games :applause:

Vieira is a mad man, but it has worked pretty well so far.

Whitecaps have traded Darren Mattocks to Timbers for allocation money and a 2017 international roster spot.

Mattocks is a fast and athletic striker but inconsistent an injury-prone enough not to secure a spot in Caps regular lineups for two head coaches.

Can the next match-day come so I can erase our choke job out of my memory.

I was watching the game yesterday and I thought the same thing. A 3 man backline in the MLS is unheard of and I can't think of any team who has tried it. They are definitely going to be leaking in goals like crazy though
