Thought he did a good job.

The Suns' GM just did an awful job while Hornacek was coaching. I mean, signing Isaiah Thomas while you already had Dragic & Bledsoe in the backcourt? What was that about?

Yeah, that always baffled me. Handing Bledsoe the reigns over Dragic was also head-scratching too...

Suns' management is a joke.

They give Chandler a ridiculous contract.
They keep Morris around.
They fire one of the bright young coaches in the league.

It's ridiculous, they betted on using Chandler to give them the edge at signing Aldridge, a bet which they lost immensely.

Nobody wants Morris, teams who are interested are possibly low balling the shit out of Phoenix now. GM reluctant at taking a losing deal. Yes dumb GM he's the one who drop Morris's value openly.

Hornacek isn't all that good. Suns have no system in place other than your turn my turn with Bledsoe and Knight. He never did give consistent minutes to his players for them to develop. Adding on that he is clueless at drawing up plans for close games. He seems to have lost his team as well.

I'm actually curious why they would fire him at this point of the season, it's a season lost and they should just keep him as tank commander, while looking forward to next season. Are they really concern about the culture in Phoenix right now?

In any case, fk all of that. DBook in the 3 point contest :pimp:

They traded for IT before Bledsoe agree to sign with the Suns.
They were panicky over the possibility of losing Bledsoe.

Still dumb though considering they wanted to stick with that 2 PG BS with Dragic and IT. Then when Bledsoe signed for some reason they thought 3 PGs would work :facepalm Disaster

It wasn't the injuries that caused the losses, it was more like the losses causing the injuries.

Nah, he was just hired as the Sixers' asst coach.

It can't get any worse there.

I wish the Owner would sell the team. Phoenix has a lineage of attracting marquee talent thanks to the weather and cheap living. But when you have a cheap owner and inept GM, not to mention a putz like Mar____ Morris, you're basically ****ed.

When they went after and got TT, my initial reaction was they did it to try and hedge their bet one or both Dragic/Bledsoe would be gone at some point. Or to try and limit their earning potential bringing in another PG to try and keep their cost down.

Either way, it blew up in their face rather instantly.

they were actually rumored to be looking at hiring him after he took the sixers asst job/before they officially fired hornacek. so its certainly a possibility. and even more so considering their current personnel.

The Suns have been the worst team in the league over the last month. Hornacek lost control of the team. Their roster doesn't have alot of upside. Their free agent moves have been head scratching.

Poor Jeff Hornacek, he really got a raw deal after all the good he did with that team in the first year.

Jeff was probably relieved. Terrible management, cheap owner, bad players, and high expectations. Probably the worst coaching job in the league.

Ridiculous how good to decent coaches get fired in today's nba. Players quitting on coaches. The players have too much power. It's not a good look at all. You have a plague of drama queens on these rosters.

Horny sucked pretty bad you guys. Yes signing both IT and Bledsoe both was stupid. They should have let Bledsoe walk and went with the cheaper Thomas. But once the cards were delt Jeff was terrible and incompetent at developing established roles for the guards. One of them (Thomas) needed to be the 6th man spark plug scorer off the bench and nothing more. He played them all together, even late into games. He was an idiot who had no system or idea what he was doing.

Thank you. His biggest problem were his choice of rotations, and how to finish games.

The Suns were one of the most exciting young teams back when they were battling for the 8th seed in 2014. Now all of a sudden it's Hornacek's fault for this collapse, all of a sudden Hornacek is a horrible coach, bullshit.

He and Goran Dragic were getting extremely high praise for their first season together, them parting ways was a horrible decision because that offense was built for a player like Dragic to thrive in.

The Suns have a core that should of never been broken up or majorly altered. Even when they played IT with Dragic and Bledsoe he added so much for their offense with his ability to drive and kick. At times you had to play the three of them together because they impact the game so much in a positive way and give your team the best possible chance of winning. All three of those PGs demand minutes and switching back and forth between the three players isn't a good rotational strategy for any coach who wants a consistent offense.
