The saddest part about this, is the fact its backfiring. The New York Knicks are the most valuable team in the NBA standing at $3.1BN. Their fan base is huge, around the world big. Everyone outside of NY (& FL, considering a lot of NY'ers retire there) are really considered bandwagon fans.

Not "classless" but, I see this being stupid.

This franchise is so historically bad that people in NY are creaming themselves over the 11th seeded Knicks :oldlol:

Gave up on the Knicks when we made the trade for Carmella

it's funny how the Warriors sell out opposing teams stadiums that are never sold out. The Warriors/Sixers game was packed a few days ago when there's usually only like 1600 people there.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time in the history of ISH that you've made an agreeable post.

This is correct. If your local team makes ridiculous decisions, you don't need to support them.

Knicks could have been the freaking Warriors-lite if they didnt break up the 2013 team for no reason

Three point shooting everywhere on the court. Yet they decided to mix things up the next season and got worse by trading their key role players.

I think I find it more hilarious that a guy from Australia is posting stuff like this when he's a Spurs fan. How did that happen ? But I don't care how you became a fan, as long as you are one.

I do agree things like becoming a fan right away of the team when their in the finals and about to win or whatever is weird, but bandwagon fans are good for sports. More attention, better for the league.

Interesting information but that doesn't say much on its own. I'll have to compare it to other Franchises. But even with the info you provided, it's clear that the Arena was not empty.

Does that take into account season ticket holders or just tickets sold at game time?

Here is where you can get some perspective on attendance. Warriors for all of their losing, never had empty arenas.http://espn.go.com/nba/attendance/_/year/2006

You can see for yourself starting from the year 2006 and upward.
