The big question to come out of this is, how many of these threats do you take seriously? There is huge cost and resources involved and there's been a wave of increasing hoaxes right across Australia.
Happening right across Europe and the US, with Los Angeles having a major school evacuation fairly recently.
This is not the same world anymore. Things are changing fast.

The perpetrators would also have sophisticated plans to go undetectible.
Plenty of viruses are spread through our computer network without anyone knowing who is psreading them.
TBH, this is an excellent tactic from whoever is doing it. It's instills fear in the general public and drain money and resources from their enemy. I'd say it's ISIS connected, being that it's innocent children and the places the hoxes are done in.

well no kidding, but anonymous is about as good as it gets at that kind of thing AFAIK. not that you could ever rely on them to cooperate.
i dunno about the daesh angle. it's damaging, yes, but it's also pretty small potatoes in the scheme of things.
fact is, there are hugely more significant security risks across the world, such as weapons tech, financial markets, govt intranets, nuclear weapons / plants / materials, etc.
daesh is a pain in humanity's ass, but the potential for a top-flight cyber-terrorist org to bring civilisation to its knees is a real and terrifying prospect. n. korea, china and russia all have cutting edge programs from what i've read...
