I forget which one but he followed it up by saying it is peaceful and there is no violence in the Koran.

He said one verse to prove there was no violence in it.

Ug, he doesn't understand the Koran. There are verses of peace and contradictory verses of war and violence towards the end.

HOWEVER, the instruction from Mohammad is, when verses contradict each other, you go with the one that came later in the book as the final word.

Which means all of the violent verses towards the end of the book are the ones that Muslims are supposed to follow.


It really is frightening reading through that book. It starts off peaceful. You read the book and you're thinking-there's nothing wrong with any of this! Most of this is just common sense.

And then slowly, more and more pro-violence verses are written and by the end the ideology has completely warped from what it was in the beginning of the book, in to a religion of violence.

To me, it was like reading someone's descent in to insanity.

How can anyone who knows anything about Islam still refer to it as a religion of peace?
