Last night Kobe had this kind of game:

I have to factor in age, injuries and the pace of today's game.

After doing some adjustments.....what we witnessed last night was:

73 points....100% Free Throw...55% FG....to go along with 8 points 8 rebounds.

73/8/8

I disagree. My calculations came out to 64

honestly..

a 38 point game out of a 20th year player is like a guy scoring 100+ in his prime

its just as unheard of and unlikely

kareem/parish/garnett all never came even remotely close to 38 points

Remember when 40 year old Jordan on the Wizards scored the equivalent to 1000+ points?

How is it Kobe's 20th season when you yourself say the 1999 and 2012 lockout seasons don't count??

38-5-5 on 21 shots is really impressive, especially if you take into account his injury and age and mileage.

Kobe has only played 15 seasons in which he has played more than 60 games. In 2013-14, he only played 6 games. Why does the OP count these?

Nobody disagrees with this. Equating it to a 73 point game is very different though. Particularly given that opponents often give Kobe the green light because it makes sense strategically to let somebody as inefficient as him shoot a lot. You give somebody enough space game after game and he is eventually going to have a good night.
