I went on a 2 week vacation to San Diego in November and you guys helped me out a lot. Now I'm gonna be in Palm Springs for 2 weeks. Anybody got a couple tips for me?

Never would have visited La Jolla if it weren't for you guys. Thanks brothers.

Why exactly is Palm Springs such a draw? It's just a town in the desert.

We rent a house there every summer with friends for at least 3 days. We just eat, drink, dance, swim but that's about it. I don't know if I would last there for 2 weeks. There's literally nothing to do unless it's Coachella time.

Beautiful area, the scenery is excellent.

There's not a ton to do that's specific to Palm Springs. Just enjoy the climate and play tennis, golf, swim, catch a movie, take a walk through town in the evening, that sort of stuff. There are a couple museums and whatnot as well.

Youre prob not gonna be able to fill up your schedule with two weeks of specific activities. Just enjoy the time off I guess.

Golf
I've known non-golfers vacation there. It never made sense to me. People go there and just hang out at pools at resorts, but that could be done at other locations with more things to do in the area.

Isnt there some huge outlet mall over there too?

Naw. That in Cabazon located between PS and Riverside, located right next to the huge, garish Casino Morongo. They do gave great prices on quality merchandise but when they have specials it's a madhouse. Absolutely insane, traffic backed up onto the I-10, and literally 80+% Asian.

I understand people's concerns. I did a ****ton in San Diego. I'm fine with just using the sun so I can chill, bike, and ball.

Thanks, everyone. Guess there isn't anything too specific I shouldn't miss.

lots of gay dudes, golf carts and old people there. theres some pretty cool hotels, though - ace, the parker.

but yeah, its a pretty low key spot, good for relaxation, if thats what youre looking for. 2 weeks does seem like a lot of time to put into palm springs, however

youre not TOO far from joshua tree. so it's always a fun idea to live the cliche and trip out in joshua tree.
