Well the people (at least on this forum) who hate on Kobe hate themselves, so it's not entirely surprising.

Its nice to see him going out and looking happy with whatever happens.
Almost a good thing they aren't a playoff team this year, a lot nicer to know theres no pressure.

Outside dubeta and his alts, I don't think anyone actually hates Kobe. Just his stans, I guess.

How is this "era" different from '08, '09, or '10?

He didn't need to score 40 a game those years. If he were in the same situation as in 2006, he could score 40 a game

Why didn't he score 40 in '06? That was his PEAK and most people consider it to the easiest season for a perimeter player. Not only that, dude was on a bad team.

He didn't because he wasn't able to do so.

But:

I have always believed that hope is that stubborn thing inside us that insists, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that something better awaits us so long as we have the courage to keep reaching, to keep working, to keep fighting.

Then how is prime Kobe dropping 40 on 50% now? Dude wasn't able to reach 50% on much less volume.

There is not a single stat or data that indicates he could do it. I just think he could

I'm saying that I'm a believer.

Do you only believe in things that have been 100% demonstrated?

Chill bro. Stop acting like tontoz. I get what you're saying. I believe that he wouldn't though. PEAK Kobe? Pretty much the same 35PPG on 45% on a shit team. Prime Kobe? ~27 PPG on 45% on a good team.
