He's the 3rd best player in this draft class behind Simmons, and Ingram. And a solid pick for the Sixers who badly need a good starting point guard. Dunn has the potential to become the next John Wall.

Hopefully the sixers stop this tanking shit and try to build a competitive roster already.

I agree. If I am the Sixers GM I am going to build a good team around Jahlil Okafor.

Jahlil Okafor. They both sounded alike. Sixers sucks so much. I already forgotten the name of their best player.

Would sixers entertain trading their pick for a veteran?

He's really talented by i dont see him as a franchise player. maybe im a little bit unfair to him because he's just a rook and his team sucks but i kinda get the vibe that he's gonna bolt once his contract is up. :oldlol:
Hopefully Embiid and Saric are gonna pan out next season.

Would sixers entertain trading their pick for a veteran? It depends on the guy they'd get back, but I think it's more likely with Colangelo in the mix now. Still think they're gonna keep their own pick unless they trade down if they're like #4 or something. If the Lakers pick conveys, I can def see them put that 1st and/or one of their bigs on the trade block for a superstar.
Dunn is a nice prospect, but he went back to school to cut down TOs and have a more consistent shot, and he didn't improve much in those 2 areas. I don't think he's worth a top 3 pick in a typical draft. I actually think he's overrated as a defender but underrated as a scorer. I don't think he's the next John Wall. Honestly if you compare him to college-age MCW he just seems like a better version of him.
I think Jackson and Monte Morris are on their radar with the MIA or OKC picks though.

I think the 76ers need another big who will sit out a minimum of a year.
Best case scenario is win the lottery with their pick and get the Lakers 4th overall pick. Draft Ben Simmons and Buddy Hield. Then trade Okafor for CJ McCollum and sign Harrison Barnes.
Hield
McCollum
Barnes
Simmons
Noel/Embiid

I've seen Dunn choke a few games already. Not sold. It's Simmons or Ingram or bust. But if they do fall to 3rd I would take a change on Jaylen Brown

As a Sixer fan and basketball fan in general I'll say this. Any draft where Kris Dunn is considered a lottery pick is an awful draft. He will be a decent backup or middle of the road starter at best.
I agree with Kurple about Trimble. While I'm not in love with his game either, I think that he's better than Dunn. That being said, I wouldn't be happy drafting him third. This draft really is Simmons, Ingram or bust. I'm sure that there will be some surprises in there somewhere but I am underwhelmed with the "talent" in this draft.

I think Brown could be a good fit and fill our seats, no?

Actually, I don't want the Lakers pick this year or the Heat pick. There's no talent in this draft so why waste the picks? The Lakers will suck again next year for sure and if Miami finishes poorly this year and their pick doesn't convey, then it's unprotected next year too. A backcourt of Hield and McCollum may not really work that well because they are too similar.

I dunno man, he can be exciting but he's just not a good basketball player. He's exciting when he dunks and does something athletic but he is a bonehead. He can't shoot, he can't shoot FTs and he turns the ball over. He's an athletic wing with not a lot of skill. I like his athleticism but that's about it. He doesn't have a good feel for the game which worries me. I wonder if he could develop into a decent player but I'm just not sure.

Blazers can net Okafor for CJ? Is that how disappointing Jahlil has been? Are Blazers ready to go for thugs again?

He could also develop into a good perimeter defender. That's a big area we need to address.
But, that's just the back up plan. I want Ben, he's the best fit and a generational type player.

That's what I'm saying about this draft. Who wants to waste the third pick in the draft on someone who may or may not become a good perimeter defender. Yes, the Sixers need that for sure but it just shows how pathetic this draft is. Simmoms or Ingram or nothing. If you can't get either of those, get creative and get something out of the picks.
