It wasn't retired, it's hung in the nosebleeds to give Jordan the proper respect. Anyone in Miami can wear #23

Back to the original point, I don't like Shaqs number being retired, but Miami is a young franchise so I guess its ok.

He left on a terrible note and still badmouths the organization. Plus he got carried in the finals.
