Will Michael Jordan's jersey be retired league-wide?

AFAIK, there are only two jerseys retired league-wide in North American professional sports, 42 Jackie Robinson in Major League Baseball and 99 Wayne Gretzky in the National Hockey League.

Two franchises have retired 23, the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat. Presumably, the Washington Wizards will retire it someday.
