i'm talking elgin baylor volume with current kobe efficiency(actually doesn't sound that much different from baylor anyway).

or even just a jr smith type but a lot worse because they weren't even streaky.

baylor is a mention. not a woat level one... but a mention.

I get the feeling a true chucking pioneer played in the 70s(my least favorite decade) who just had some great shot-jacking campaigns that i don't know about.

For his career Cousy averaged 18 shots per game shooting 37.5%.

Rick Barry but He needed to carry a team full of scrubs his entire career.

Antoine Walker, Baron Davis come to mind. Guys who weren't three point shooters but will still attempt the worst shots you'll ever see.

Just about every player from that era shot a low percentage.

Antoine Walker HAS to be in the discussion.

Kobe's always been very efficient.

Nearly identical PPS and TS% with Jordan.

The BS propaganda spouted by BSPN won't turn lies into truth.

Antoine Walker once attempted 8 threes a game while only shooting 34% from three. And this was back in 2002 before three point shooting completely took over the game.

Yeah that was the best era for chucking. But 18 shots per game is a lot of a pg, especially when they are shooting that bad.

Sam Jones was a guard on the same team and shot 45.6% for his career.

I personally think that advanced stats has distorted the definition of "efficient", "chucking" and etc.

Allen Iverson wasn't a great shooter, but the game plan wasn't to leave him open. Same goes with a slew of other NBA players. Kyrie isn't a great 3 point shooter this year if you look at the statistics, but NOBODY who watches him would be able to tell.

Also:

I think our perception of chucking is changing due to the lack of perimeter talent these days outside a few players like Steph, Kyrie and Damian...and those are all PG's.

The traditional 90's SG's who were expected to know how to create and make their own shots have died down vastly.

We literally just expect SG's to just shoot now. It's too literal. MJ, Iverson, Kobe, TMAC, Arenas used to WORK hard for their shot attempts.
