Financial success isn't everything. I am content with my ability to see the world clearly, enjoy low-cost activities like stargazing, playing chess, pickup basketball, watching Frasier. I also aspire to impact my community in a positive way, which I feel very capable of doing. I also don't feel inferior to people around me intellectually, physically etc. Sure it would be nice if I made some more money, but I'll get there.

What conservatives are secure with themselves about isn't always the same for each of them. Some are secure in their self-sufficiency, having survival skills etc. Some are very secure in their family/faith. Others in their economic aptitude. Others in their discipline. Others in their looks.
