Thibs is a Van Gundy disciple. PJ wanted the Knicks job when JVG was still coach. There is bad blood between the 2. Not sure if PJ will hire a JVG disciple.

How come none of you know-it-all arm chair coaches didn't notice this?

Thibs would be the ideal coach for the Knicks, make a defensive Juggernaut out of Porz.

Jax said in interview he will decide after season. As much as I would want Thibs in here, I don't get the feeling Jax is for it. The JVG angst still lives on.

Can Thibbs turn the 20yr old Porzingis into a true defensive anchor, who is a shot blocking AND rotational powerhouse ? Can he further develop his offense to make him a 24+ PPG scorer ?

Can Walton develop the soon to be (1.5weeks) 20yr old Russell into a true uptempo showtime PG who makes all of his teammates better ?

I'm excited for the answers to both these questions, and think the league would benefit tremendously from the right people guiding the careers of these young players.
