Irish pubs vs English pubs

English pubs undoubtedly have better food in my personal opinion and have bigger establishments (better to meet people). Irish pub food just isn't that good.

However, Irish pubs tend to have a better beer selection and sometimes they'll have live music, so it makes the atmosphere a bit more pleasant.

Anyone have a preference?

Irish nachos are incredible, and yeah, their pubs have wayyy better food.

I go to a place called 'McColgan’s' right by the beach. Great atmosphere, food and chill all around.

For many years(even when I wasn't 21), I'd frequent an English pub by the name 'George and Dragon' ~ great wings, top notch fish and chips. Beer was good and there was a waitress that was really sweet, we nicknamed her 'BT' because of her huge melons. She eventually moved on, and the other waitresses became worse. The food followed and now they remodeled the inside. I hate it now.


I've only been to one irish pub, food is ok but the atmosphere is great sometimes. Live music and good beer prices is making that place go strong. Also feel like you're in a wooden ship when you're inside :lol

Guinness on tap in the states is so overrated, I could go to Jewel and find a better stout....Let alone Binnys.

I'd love to try it from Ireland itself though, heard it tastes different. Anyways, here its not bad.. Just tastes too lite for my liking. I want more bang for my buck
