What kind of team would you surround Westbrook with in order to win a title?

Who is the ideal coach for him and what is the ideal offensive system to make the most of his abilities?

A better player, a la Kevin Durant, to lead the team. Oh there you go you're set already.

James Harden. The old trio would do the trick.

Defenders/shooters everywhere that all play hard, smart, and can play well without the ball..athletic center and stretch 4..1-2 more creators to take pressure off.

Russell Westbrook / Avery Bradley
Khris Middleton / Manu Ginobili
Jae Crowder / Al-Farouq Aminu
Ryan Anderson / Mike Scott
Rudy Gobert / Ian Mahinmi

Needs a coach who will let him be him for the most part offensively but will push him on both ends and keep him disciplined defensively. Thibs maybe?

Russ can't win you a ring as your main guy. Great motor, great athlete but his low bball iq doesn't help.

He works fine with KD, just needs more 3 AND D guys. There are too many 3 OR D guys on OKC.

Keep KD. Get a LBJ type of supporting cast, sans one of the big 3. Basically put KD and Russ on the Cavs in place of LBJ, Love, and Kyrie. Replace Love with another not as talented stretch 4. Play the East.

On second thought I wouldn't go Thibs. Give me Rick Carlisle or Bud or Brad Stevens and yeah, I think this team is clearly better than all of Cleveland/SA/OKC and right there with GS.

I originally had Kawhi in for Crowder but that I didn't think that was realistic.

Crowder is close enough to Kawhi in his performance lately that he would be the better contract.

Yeah Crowder is legit, a really nice starting SF this year. I think the team I built has a bunch of guys whose games are way better than their reputations...Crowder, Middleton, Aminu, Bradley, etc.. I just think an elite coach would have that team right there with GS. Not at 70+ wins in the RS, but in a playoff series? It's possible.

He's really skilled and talented but he's out of control sometimes.

Think someone like Jordan or Kobe. They're skilled and talented but they can control themselves most of time and not make stupid decisions.

If Westbrook can do that then he'll be a winner.

In order for a westbrook lead team to win, westbrook would need to get a lobotomy to remove the part of his brain that tells him to shoot the ball.
