Based on arbitrary stats. Change those arbitrary stats and the results differ.

would like to see the straight up plus/minus and rpm numbers for every supporting cast in the finals and through their playoff runs

"based on leverage and minute weighted statistical plus/minus talent"

the hell does that mean?

especially plus/minus "talent"

is that a different thing than ACTUAL plus/minus

For a big man Dirk was incredibly inefficient in the finals

THIS.

His 2011 is so overrated because he shot like absolute sh*t in the finals (as per usual). Jason Terry was the real Finals MVP.

Low 40s for a bigman who is known for his efficiency in the regular season is absolutely pathetic but not surprising considering you're talking about one of the biggest playoff chokers in NBA history. :applause:

wtf, 1999 Knicks/Larry had a worse Finals supporting cast than 2007 or 2015 Cavs/Lebron? Better yet 1999 Knicks Finals best player was Larry? :biggums: He was not even the 3rd best player, it was prime Latrell Sprewell & Allan Houston (who averaged 26-7-3 & 22-3-3 there) followed by Camby.

I would never dare break up a happy marriage between you and DMAVS sucking each other off watching highlights of Dirk's various postseason chokejobs.

Lakers and Celtics dynasties in the 80s easily in terms of raw talent.
Bulls from 96-98, Pistons from 89-90 and 67 Sixers come to mind.

Why do you quote someone mentioning Dirk and then write about Lebrons 2015 finals?

Why are these f@ggots coming out of the woodwork and being annoying about Dirk?

Everyone likes him, don't change that.

As for the actual question...when discussing who had the best supporting cast, I also think its important to consider the opposing squad. Without context, a team with 3 allstars is better than a team with 2. Or a least the top dog on the team with 3 allstars would seem to have a better supporting cast because he had 2 other AS's and the other guy had only 1.

HOWEVER, if the team with 3 all-stars played a team also with 3 in the finals and the team with 2 all-stars played a team with 1 in the finals, then the team with only 2 all-stars has a better squad, or at least an easier chance at winning.

That's why its stupid to compare across years without context like is being done here.

Who had the best supporting cast in reference to their opponent? Probably the 01/02 Lakers against the 76ers/Nets (Shaq/Kobe). After that it's either the 07 Spurs against the Cavs (Duncan I suppose) or 11 Heat against the Mavs (Lebron).

This is just since I've been watching of course.
