Overall -6.1
3 Pointers -7.4
2 Pointers -7.5
Less Than 6 Ft -7.6
Less Than 10 Ft 2 -10.5
Greater Than 15 Ft -2.7

Those negative numbers are the difference between the normal FG% of a shooter and his FG% when Duncan is guarding him. Positioning is everything.

His overall for that stat is better than Whiteside, Gobert, and Kawhi. Draymond is beating him with -7.1 overall.

He's already worse than Kobe, retard.

 @ delusional Duncan't Stans that think him being a roleplayer on an STACKED team with multiple allstars somehow is "amazing longevity".

The fact that you bring Kobe up in a Duncan thread unprompted shows who your REAL daddy is. :lol

When is the last time Duncan has even been able to take over a game and LEAD his team to a win in this fashion?:

I know you're a troll, and I probably shouldn't waste my time responding to this nonsense, but whatever. I'll play.

At age 39, in the playoffs (and not a simple regular season game against the Timberpups):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lohZ9CN4QDk
28 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists (60% shooting) led his team to a W.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiKIwY8slsk
27 points, 11 rebounds (4 offensive), 1 assist (69% shooting) yet another great game 7
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRY75mojQL0
22 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks (62% shooting)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_lm-H4JFN4
21 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals (62% shooting)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gN65GuyrRY
30 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists (86% shooting)

GG.

All you have is that ESPN ranking which will have absolutely no bearing on who future generations consider more of a GOAT.

Face it, you're melting down. It must hurt your anus deeply knowing that Duncan would NEVER receive this kind of farewell, because no one outside of San Antonio gives a flying f*ck about him.

I don't want to be considered a player stan here, but I do believe we will experience a drop off when Duncan finally hangs it up. Probably won't win 50 games for the first time at the least, fringe play off team/bottom seed/lottery at the worst.

LOL MATE, you're in for a pleasant surprise tbh

I find it funny some people still place so much importance on Tim in 2016.
Not saying there won't be a drop off - even though i reckon the FO will take care of it - but to say we'll drop below 50 games and even mentioning lottery is way off IMO

I think you are preparing for the worst but it won't even come close to that...we will be fine and win a ring!

I'm pretty sure Kobe could average 8 points per game and play 20 minute per gam if he was surrounded by all stars and a GOAT coach

They will still be a playoff team middle of the pack, but the days of being a yearly contender are over. Even if Spurs get Horford it won't be enough. Should have tried to get Marc Gasol instead of Aldridge.

2012-13
All-Star, All-NBA 1st team, All-Defensive 2nd team, #7 in MVP voting, #6 in DPOY voting, #6 in PER, #1 in DRating, #4 in Defensive Win Shares, #2 DPM

2013-14
NBA champion, #4 DRating, #9 Defensive Win Share, #5 DPM

2014-15
#3 DRating, #4 Defensive Win Shares, #9 BPM, #3 DPM, #12 PER, #13 VORP

2015-16
#1 DRating, #1 DPM

I'm pretty sure most teams would like this production for $5-10 million a year - not to mention the leadership and intangibles.

Where did you see him #1 at for 2015-16? He's at 93 and 5.5 for those which is high but basketballreference doesn't have him on the leaderboard. Maybe his projected minutes won't get to the required 1500 to qualify.

No actually he couldn't.
Firstly it would take Kobe 15 shots per game to average 8 points...
And if he was playing that way.. Pop would sit his selfish ass on the bench and he wouldn't be getting any minutes.. Current Kobe wouldn't get any more minutes than rasuel butler on this Spurs squad..

he currently takes 17 shots to score 17 points per game, but according to you he would need 15 shots to score 8?

I agree that Kobe shouldnt be brought up, but even you know you're trolling when you say he's worse than Kobe.

One is an all-time terrible defender and bad offensive option (nobody who shoots 35% is helping an offense).

The other is a bad offensive option and one of the best defenders in the game.

Saying Duncan is worse than Kobe now is like saying Steph Curry is worse than Ricky Rubio. :oldlol:

Didn't you say Duncan has virtually zero impact the same night that the Warriors ran a layup drill on SA?

Nobody's saying we're losing 03 Duncan. But we're losing a top 3 defensive big man on a team that has no other legitimate C.

Nothing but respect for Tim Duncan, still bringing it even doe he's as old as dirt, great player, great person
True legend of the game, same with Kobe and KG.
The ending to this season may be the saddest thing ever, the old generation finally dying out.

Except Kobe literally has no role on ANY team in the league.

Even if Kobe wasn't retiring this season and his contract up, noone would want him. That's why it was smart to announce it, so he can act like he's going out on his own terms. His only use is attracting fans to the arenas so they can "see him one last time".

Duncan would literally be coveted by every contender in the league. His defensive impact is still enormous and he is probably the most valuable player on his superteam after Leonard(yes above Aldridge).
