It comes down to '67 Wilt, '94 Hakeem, & '00 Shaq for me, 3 of not only the greatest championship runs by a center, but 3 of the greatest championship runs of all time. Those 3 imo are on a level above the other selections, as great as they are

In recent memory I'd say 94' Hakeem and 00' Shaq easily.

Hakeems 94 run is rightly praised....but in 95 I remember many people saying he was even better than the previous year. He had a better lineup then so people dont rank that run as highly...he didnt have to fully carry the load...Drexler went hard at times. But 33/10/5 3 blocks and a steal shooting 53% beating 60, 59, 62, and 57 win teams on the road in EVERY round winning it all from the 6th seed outplaying Karl Malone, Barkley, Drob, and Shaq along the way? Thats a tough omission.

Duncan aside he pretty much beat up on the best bigmen of the last 30 years in one title run. He gave David Robinson 40ppg aside from one huge blowout(and he had 20/14/5/3 in that). He had 41, 43, 42, and 39 that game aside.

And considering how many times he had to come up clutch? And not just scoring clutch. That goes without saying. He was beating teams passing too. Like 3 times he had destroyed someone in the post so many times he had to be doubled on the biggest play of the game so he just kicked it out to Horry. That run alone Horry must have had 3 somewhat game winning/sealing kickout 3s with his man trying to double Hakeem. One vs the Spurs when Rodman left him. One vs the Magic when I think Cassell and Horrys man tried to ease down into the post. And one vs the Suns. He was just....devastating...in all phases of the game. All. Scoring, defending, passing...even rebounding. He had a finals game winning rebound. Remember the pinky tip to win I think game 1? In overtime I think. Not a famous play because it wasnt spectacular...but he sneaked in and tipped in Drexlers missed layup with like .02 on the clock to win one of those first couple finals games.

Its hard to top what he did that year. He did everything anyone could ask in every area of the game.

How good was 67' Chamberlain's defense? Comparable to 2000 Shaq?

95 Hakeem should have been the option here, not 94.

Chamberlain was always better defensively than Shaq.
The 1967 team is a top 3 team all time. Wilt was the top rebounder, #3 in assists, and lead the league in several other statistics. He had excellent players around him but it all revolved around him.

I was so demoralized watching Ewing get abused to the point that they had to put anyone else on him, Mason or Oakley...but Olajuwon in 94 was artistry. I believe there was 1 game out of 7 that Ewing actually outplayed him. I was shocked how unstoppable Olajuwon became that year. Dude annihilated Robinson, who was a pretty good defender. Olajuwon blocking Starks' series winning 3 in game 6 was as close as I came to watching the Knicks win the whole damn thing :(

While the offense was similar, he was better on the defensive end in 94.

Exactly . He had worst defensive year , at 95 , since his rookie year .

The fact that Chamberlain went up against the two greatest defensive centers of all time in Russell and Thurmond, he gets my vote.
