Damian Lillard 51 Points Career High Highlights vs Warriors
Who do you think was the better performer? Warriors are a better team than Kobe's Lakers, but Kobe was an All NBA Defensive first team in 2006-07. And according to themarksmadsen's logic a better defender than Curry.

Yep and he did this in 31 minutes. One of the fastest if not THE fastest 50+ score.
And not mentioned in the OP is that he also had 7 assists

Kawhi's never scored 30 points in the Finals, only came close once :lol. In fact he's only scored 30 points in the playoffs once in his career

What was Kobe's stats in that game....

I'm confused why either of these are impressive considering they were both done against piss poor defenders...?.

Gilbert's is more impressive, Kobe took it personally once he got hot and he was 1st team all-defense that season.
Scoring 60 on Kobe in '06 sounds harder than scoring 51 on Curry in '16

Yeah he was...while being an average defensive player at best that season. Does anyone who is a fan of Kobe actually WATCH HIM PLAY when he isn't chuckng up shots? Or do you all just close your eyes when he has to play defense? I'm baffled why any of you actually think he was some defensive stalwart...

Like he said, Kobe was atrocious defensively.
Arenas had 44 points before Kobe went to Phil and REQUESTED that he be assigned to Arenas. To stop him:lol
Arenas then proceeded to torch Kobe, while setting an NBA record 16 points in an overtime, in the process.
Upon concluding his destruction of Kobe in staples, he took a bow in he middle of the court.

Funny thing is...Kobe had 45/10 on 63% shooting in that game. Then won the rematch in DC decisively and left Arenas in the dust for the rest of his career.
But you think you are trolling good don't ya?

And what would the thread without the cat Kobe has paid to come raise him up. The first ime I read that I envisioned posters here who could be pathetic assholes who would do that...and you were at the top of the list bitch.

Stat padding.
Curry had 31 and Lillard had 30 before Curry was subbed out, Trailblazers were up by 25. Warriors starters were out. Despite the fact that this gap increased and only Klay went back in, Lillard stayed on the floor and scored an additional 21 points when the game was long since over. That is the definition of stat padding. If Curry were allowed to play 4th quarters when his team was up by 25+ we'd be seeing way more 50 point games from him this season.
Look at the play by play if you don't believe me: http://www.nba.com/games/20160219/GSWPOR/gameinfo.html

Which has what to do with Arenas setting an NBA record and putting up 16 points in 5 minutes while Kobe was matched up against him?:oldlol:
This thread was about Lillards game last night and Arenas' annihilation of Kobe in Los ANGELES followed by his bow to the Lakers crowd

Kobe was just coming off a knee surgery and wasn't close to 100%...guy was getting stuffed by the rim and looked off for a while that season until he strengthened it back up

Lol...he had minor arthroscopic surgery 5 months earlier in the off season...that had nothing to do with him being embarrassed by gil.

Did you watch that season...because it was pretty obvious it had a big impact on his season. There are even threads wondering if he actually had more than just an arthroscopic procedure done because the recovery was taking longer

What the heck are you talking about? Kobe fans are getting downright weird with their excuses.
Kobe had a minor procedure months prior. He had more than fully recovered by the time the season began and definitely for the game.
He just got destroyed. Asked to guard Arenas and got humiliated on a world wide stage.

I saw Gilbos game @ staples....that sucked man. We got to OT after a comeback from behind situation and then just got hosed by Gilbo. I saw the post-games later at home and Kobe was salty. He implied Arenas was chucking bad shots and got lucky. Looking back at it that was funny because yeah it was true, but Kobe, the king of making bad shots, got out-Kobe'd by another player.
Anyway, give me a big score in a close game any day over a big score in a blowout. When games are close the other team is more likely to be in it. If it's a blowout, imo guys will start to mail it in.
