Funniest thing about Trump to an ISH poster?
9erempiree and Nick Young are voiciferous supports.

You guys are right, clearly Clinton or Bush would make better candidates than Trump. It's not like their ilk has been conning the American public since their entry into politics.
When it comes to the election this year I'm with you two academics: "Business as usual" is my motto.

The truth is that Trump supporters here on ISH are a'plenty (some still afraid to speak up but gradually gaining the confidence), completely serious, and as well-informed as any of the dummies supporting the establishment politicians.
Libtards like the OP are shook as shit over this fact. The meltdowns they'll undergo in the coming months will be truly legendary as Trump rapes all opposition. :lol

Are those the three choices?
Nice strawman.
Trump is a clown, if you cannot see how ill prepared he is then I can't really convince you otherwise, you just ignore the obvious.
Mexicans will pay for the wall!
how?
you'll see!
We will renegotiate with the Chinese.
how?
I know the best negotiators!
We will increase military spending!
how will you pay for it?
we will, I know the best hedgefund people.
He is trolling the f*ck out of the process, he might actually ruin politics in this country (maybe this is what needs to happen due to all the Clintons and Bushes).
It is part amusement and concern watching this.
I love his trolling, it is like an SNL skit of a rich arrogant moron running for president, but I worry he will fail so epically that he will be impeached.

One things for sure, a vote for Hillary or Rubio is a vote for the status quo. A vote for Bernie, Cruz or Trump is a vote to shake things up. If you are an illegal immigrant, it's bad news for you if Bernie, Trump or Cruz gets elected. Sanders has changed his tune on immigration since he started to eye the presidency, but once he gets elected, I'm guessing all bets are off. He is a fierce protector of the American worker to literally a fault, and he is well aware that illegal immigration hurts them immensely.

This really contradicts the rest of your post tbh.
The truth is that Trump is a symptom, not the disease; a consequence of mass-disillusionment with the political process, which has long been a complete joke, devoid of substance, and rusted through with corruption.
It's not even just Trump: it's Trump and Bernie. People clearly don't respect the process any more, and that's why a lot of them like Trump.

Obama escalated this pathetic pandering of Presidents, going on talkshows and other such nonsense; way to debase the office dude, no wonder people are now going for a reality tv star.
We need to go back to the time when it was considered dishonourable for a potential President to even be seen campaigning for himself. Was a much better and less populism-driven system back then; instead, we have the triumph of money, demagoguery and people-pleasing.

Also, **** Democracy!
Not that it's relevant to anything i just said, but yeah, that's right: democracy has been an unmitigated disaster. The more democratic the country has become, the worse it's political leadership has become; but dogmatic democrats seem incapable of acknowledging the importance of good political leadership, and so instead pay fealty to the squalid oligarchy they tell themselves they control by voting.
Something like this, as predicted by Tocqueville:
We basically now have, because of that supposed panacea democracy, a ‘single, omnipotent, tutelary power, but one that is elected.’ Intenseive centralization has been combined with popular sovereignty, which allows a democratic populace to:
‘Console themselves for being treated as wards by imagining that they have chosen their own protectors. Each individual allows himself to be clapped in chains because he sees that the other end of the chain is held not by a man or a class but by the people themselves. In this system citizens emerge from dependence for a moment to indicate their master and then return to it.'
Whatta form of government
You are aware the founders studied the history of popular democracies and rejected the idea? They knew the best form of government was one that combined aristocratic and democratic elements, and they also knew that tyranny was just as possible under democratic rule as under autocratic rule.

Also, can anyone point to anything that Trump has said that has been incorrect or offensive? Like a direct quote? I don't recall him saying anything untrue or offensive, but I'm thick-skinned and not a twaht so I don't really know.

I agree with the poster who says Trump is a symptom by the way. And I am not hugely anti-Trump, I think in many ways he is a game changer for the process, but it is his stardom and arrogance that attracts most of his fans, and in this process we need the right person, not the one lacking couth.
BUT
the system wants us to choose between Hillary and Rubio. For most people in 2016 that is unacceptable.
What about this scenario.
Rubio wins, Trump goes independent, Sanders wins, Bloomberg enters the race. 4 man race to the finish.
Total chaos.
Love it.
