Hillary won Nevada caucus by slim margin. She is leaving with a few more delegates but essentially is a split. Looks like she is getting 3 or 4 more delegates while spending millions more and significantly more resources than Bernie. They are going to South Carolina next.
Waiting on South Carolina now. SC GOP primary closes in 55 minutes. Donald Duck expected to win by large margin.

Wouldn't be shocked if Trump doesn't win SC. He's taken a lot of hits right before the vote. He's odds on favorite, but I wouldn't be shocked either way.

I'm an independent. Republicans, other than Kasich, are not selling anything I would buy.
I cannot vote in NJ primary unless if I declare for a party, which I won't. Not unless if there is a reason I must.

Bernie went pretty hard after Nevada. Bernie had more campaign offices in Nevada and outspent Hillary in Nevada by about $500,000. In fact, he forced Clinton to spend more there than she wanted.
The reasoning for this, is Sanders faces a very tough stretch ahead. (http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2016/02/clinton-leads-in-10-of-12-early-march-primaries-benefits-from-overwhelming-black-support.html#more)

This are not polling averages, but single polls in each state from PPP which has a very good track record.
So of 12 states, Bernie will certainly win 1, most likely 2 and then is competitive in only one other state.

Bernie really spent more? Damn, it feels like the exact opposite. :confusedshrug:
The biggest Nevada ad spenders:
Team Clinton: $3.3 million
Team Sanders: $3.2 million
Team Rubio: $560,000

Those numbers are a few days old. I'm now seeing reports that they both spent closer to 4 million.
The report I saw must have been old too.....someone linked to it today. Because they had Bernie at 3.2 and Clinton at 2.7.

In the POV of the Republican party and the establishment they're doing more harm then good. They're taking votes away from Rubio and Cruz and instead Trump is controlling a commanding lead. Unless maybe Trump is in good terms with Carson and those few points are being sucked away from Cruz or Rubio?
But yeah.. What a disaster by Jeb!

People say this every election, but it's never this clear cut. I wouldn't be shocked if half of Jeb's support goes to Kasich. His more conservative supporters could go to Cruz. It's not all going to go to Rubio. Don't forget, there has been really bad blood between the Jeb and Rubio camps.

I think the rest of the delegates are won by winning the counties. So if trump also won at the county level, he would win all the delegates.
SC has a hybrid system
If a candidate wins the statewide vote, that candidate claims all 29 delegates. If a candidate receives a plurality in one of the seven congressional districts, that candidate is awarded all three delegates from that district.
So Trump came in first statewide AND first in all 7 congressional districts.

Trump's victory won him at least 44 of the state's 50 delegates, bringing his delegate count to 61, compared to 11 for Cruz and 10 for Rubio, according to a tally by Real Clear Politics. Republicans need 1,237 delegates to win the party nomination.

I read only 1.8% of voters showed up in a predominantly black area in SC.

Blacks blindly vote for Democrats which is why nothing they want will ever be addressed. No reason to waste your time pandering to voters who won't ever vote for the other party.

This is actually a good point. Other countries don't do this shit: Americans are bloody obsessed with ethnicity, and for some reason divide the electorate into ethnicity blocks; I've been in the UK for a bunch of elections, and they never pull that shit (only with women i think, and still far less often).
Race is a national neurosis in the US. No wonder the place is so racially polarised considering everyone's always dividing the various ethnicities and lumping them into a group.
