I dont disagree but when a player is perennially on this list it goes to DOMINANCE, being able to get a volume of dunks off in the half court is EXTREMELY difficult on the NBA level. You're not on this list year after year off of just open court dunks.

Plus I want to talk about some these athletic beasts like Stromile Swift etc.
Dude had some of the most tantalizing dunks ever.

No when we are talking about in game dunks. Dunks are the safest way to score, so the more dunks a player is able to make, the better for the team

Amar'e underwent microfracture surgery and threw down the second most dunks in the league the next season, what a beast!

A top ten dunker all time for sure, some of these guys listed simply put the ball in the net the same way a blind squirrel finds an acorn (Chris Wilcox lol Can't believe I even remember that scrub and his braids, and people say the league isn't as talented now lol)

Huge wade fan here, but even I did not expect he'll be ahead of lbj in their athletic primes.

I feel as though Kenyon Martin is slowly becoming an underrated dunker. But it's tough to say because mostly everyone acknowledges how nasty he was above the rim.

Still, he seems to slip out of most conversations involving dunking. If it's about quantity, people tend to mention Shaquille O'Neal, Dwight Howard, or Andre Drummond. If it's about quality, people tend to mention Vince Carter, Jason Richardson, Dwyane Wade, etc.

Martin appears to get caught in the middle. Never outright flashy enough to get consideration among the quality crowd and maybe not a quantity guy for long enough to break through on that talk. He even seems to miss out on the classic underrated discussions that guys like Stromile Swift tend to cash in on (Swift deserves that credit).

But yeah, when people talk about how most dunks have been done yadda, yadda, yadda, I often think of Martin and how he proved that it's not always what dunks are technically being completed, but how they're being completed. He turned what could have been pretty easy and standard two-handers into lessons on destruction and violence.

Miss having more high profile dunkers like him around. Catching a Trevor Booker slam here or there flashes me back.

Shouldn't be, lebron needs a lot of room to get up a head of steam to get a dunk off, he's not especially explosive or quick, this is why the majority of his dunks are in the open court. Then when you factor in Wade's superior and quicker ball-handling and decisiveness it's a no brainer.

Wade is is on this 4 times in 7 seasons and would have been on here 6 out of 7 if not for being injured in 07 and 08. In 06 he had 152 dunks  , prime Amare's second career high is 155! 07 and 08 would have been Wade's absolute peak years.

Prime Wade is basically a PF with guard handles and quickness with FREAKISH explosiveness to boot. In terms of freakish athleticism he is absolutely in the tier of guys like Lebron, Wilt, Shaq etc. For 7 seasons he matched lebrons 27/7 on 49% and did it with a SPOTTY jumpshot. I made this thread to really illuminate just what an absolute OGRE this guy was in his prime. Goofy Kobe trolls on here are quick to tell us Wade can't shoot for sh*t but yet and still will argue that Kobe is in the vicinity of Wade as and athlete lol (he's not, not even fuccing close).

Even you as a Wade fan are surprised, think about that, all because dude never got that ESPN hype. Wade's 2011 is so underrated also, dude BEASTED. If Wade had any semblance if a catch and shoot game or just a average 3 point shot he would have been hands down a top ten player ATG, possibly top 5.

Me too it's weird because at rim percentages are pretty poor even in his prime/peak.
