Was Jerry West a PG or SG?

Can someone who saw him play or studied him give me the scoop on this? His stat sheets says PG for most seasons, but I always see him on SG lists. And he's shooting in the logo, I mean, come on.

Yes a combo guard. There were seasons when he played mostly point and others 2 guard. But he was both.
