Why would a team offer a lottery pick (not protected) in a trade? Would the Raptors not have accepted the trade if the Knicks said, "lottery protected" for Bargnani?

SMH at the Knicks, why on gods green earth did the Knicks make that trade? Why do teams continue to trade non-protected lottery picks?

knicks legit thought they'd be winning rings with their roster when they got him, their ownership is ****ing retarded. They never wanted to build properly they just thought mediocre to bad players would put them over the top. Hope they do porzingis right

Who cares? That pick wouldn't help any time soon. They shoulda gave up that 2018 pick for Teague if that would offload Jose.

The funny thing is that Dolan was so mad that he got burnt in that Bargs trade that he was scared to trade for Lowry in 2014. He was afraid that Masai would own him again.

lmao I totally forgot about that trade. The fact that the Raptors got a first round pick out of Bargs is mind boggling. Only the Knicks :lol
