I think the worst idea is the idea of civilized people sharing technology with less civilized people. It took a long process of cultural maturation to get to the point where we could start making such advancements, and we want to just hand it over to people who haven't gone through that cultural maturation.

Can you imagine if dark ages Europe had access to our modern technology? It would be a fcuking disaster. Yet, some have this idiotic idea that it's fine to hand over very delicate/dangerous technology to people who are less civilized than dark ages Europe.
