LeBald was somehow 1 vote away from doing so in 2013 despite Durant/Kobe being better players and far more deserving, but this season nobodys even close to currys level or team record.:confusedshrug:

inb4 LeBald ends up getting some votes:rolleyes:

You know this could have been a great thread if you didn't use it to advertently attack Lebron fans

No he shouldn't.

If 2001 Shaq, and 2013 LeBron weren't, then he's not going to be.

Lebron will snag a few first place votes.

I know it's been talked about for a while, but I would have to think it probably could happen.

Westbrook and Durant cancel each other out. Can't see Kawhi getting it with his raw stats not that eye popping. Don't see LeBron getting any either.

Nobody else outside of those 4 are going to get any consideration for 1st place votes.

Curry could average 40ppg and warriors go undefeated the rest of the season and Leroid will still get a few votes. The media will continue to suck his no jumpshot having small **** until he retires.

Your thread has an actual point. Why be a f@ggot afterwards?

Is that all you know how to be?

He should be, but won't, just like Shaq in 2000.

Chris Paul won't get any recognition despite putting a dysfunctional Clippers team on his back.

why? Take curry off the warriors and they are the second seed. Cavs before lebron came there were a lottery team who got the first dam pick! Lebron is better all around than curry apart from jump shooting.

I don't think he's going to be the first. I think Lebron will get some votes. I also think that Damian Lillard will get one.

One might think that Curry's team is too stacked and others are more deserving.

With Lebron still being young and considered by many writers a top 3 talent off all time and his team still being number one in his conference, Curry would have to be Michael Jordan x 24, and be the number one DPOY candidate, while averaging 10 rebounds to all of a sudden take away every single vote that a Lebron would have gotten.

Nah Durant, LEBRON and a red hot Lillard will get votes. Lillard is making a strong push forward.

Why is Lillard getting mentions ?

May be too late but he's ballin' out right now and his team is moving up in the standings. I might be biased though. I really like his game.

And Kawhi is bound to get a vote. Forgot about him.

he won't

Leonard and Lillard are playing great basketball this year and really elevating their teams, Curry is doing the same stuff he did last year and their team as a whole has been playing at an all-time level, he has a lot of help.

Warriors aren't a new story anymore, it's same as last year only that their core players have improved...media is probably getting tired of GS already because they are so flawless with 0 locker room drama going on. Shaq/Kobe lakers had the same kind of coverage only that they had a locker room feud going on which made it more interesting. Warriors are just beating one team after another, it gets boring.

Why are people naming Lillard, the guy has no place at all in the conversation. The story this year is breaking the Bulls record, which is far more interesting than what they did last year.

As for Curry doing it, I think he has a small chance but won't do it. A few things that need to happen for this to even be an option:
- Break the 72-10 Bulls record
- Beat Spurs 2-1 in the 3 remaining games, with Curry completely dominating in one of those games
- Beat OKC 2-0 in the remaining games, with Curry completely dominating in one of those games
- Maybe have an insane comeback led by Curry, being a highlight game of the season

Still, easy to see 1-2 votes going to any of Lebron, KD, Westbrick or Kawhi.

some mouthpiece will vote for lebron

This is the only realistic answer. Media practically disrespected Curry last year. He made them eat their own shit this year. They're even more furious. No way it's gonna be unanimous.

Curry is the clear favorite, but he won't get unanimous. Too many people think Dray is the leader and it is the team.

Lillard will get a vote if this keeps up.

"Lillard was more important to the Blazers than Curry was to the Warriors".

thatll probably be the justification

Doubt it. It's not even a Lebron thing. There's going to be some idiot that will say he has a lot of help and then give his vote to someone like Damian Lillard. They'll probably be another idiot that says Draymond is the real MVP and give it to him.

Warriors would struggle to win 30 games without AMC

I could see Curry losing a couple votes to Draymond and LeBron
