Considering the fact that the kid is like 8, the last time the Knicks won a ring, his dad probably wasn't born yet.

Im struggling to see how...

8 championships, 8 fmvps, 12 conference championships/finals appearances

...is worse than...

6 championships, 2 fmvps, 8 conference championships/finals appearances

8/12 (67%) is worse than 6/8 (75%) in the Finals only in strictly mathematics, not in basketball championships-success mathematics.... its less championships first of all and a Finals appearance unfortunately in basketball is better than NONE, win or lose... its not more prestigious to lose any earlier / miss the playoffs etc. im sorry.... its actually far less prestigious... if you have 8 rings with 15 finals you unfortunately had a more successful career than you with 8 rings in 8 finals, because that means those other 7 seasons ended up in first round losses/losing earlier than Finals and so on or even missing the playoffs, compared to having 7 more Finals trips...

However being 2/8 (25%) compared to 8/8 (100%) in terms of being the most accountable / most valuable player for those championship runs (FMVP).... now that sure means BAD/WORSE, both in mathematics and especially in basketball... it separates winners who always carried from those who often got carried...

Here's a fun fact too. Don't combine Russell with anyone and he's 11/12.

Even more fun: if you combine Robert Horry and Dennis Rodman, you beat Russell with 12/13.

And perhaps the most fun of all is the growing Baylor/Foust family, who can boast a stout 0/13.
